These people have absolutely no shame. The court case is public record even if I don't think the settlement is. Nothing has been debunked.

I love this! I’m just a privileged white lady from the suburbs but I’m so proud of what the city has done to turn around! I hear rumors that Mayor Duggan plans to run for governor after Whitmer’s term ends. It would be great for the state but sad for the city - he has done great things there.

Just as an FYI in case you ever plan to do this is the future. The airport isn’t actually in Detroit- it’s about 20 miles away and Detroit/Michigan in general lacks any good public transportation so I wouldn’t actually try to do this unless you had a full day or more.

I’ve lived within 20 minutes of Detroit for all but 8 years of my life.  Do any other Detroit adjacent women here feel like this ad is VERY familiar?  It seems like the Eminem/Chrysler commercial from a few years ago but also like the ads the local tv stations run every few years.  Don;t get me wrong, I love the Harris version, but the gritty “detroit has heart and is fighting back/we’re underdogs” is a vibe that is VERY familiar around here.  I guess it works with the locals, because it keeps getting recycled.

interesting.  I also grew up 20 min from Detroit (downriver).   I haven't lived there in years but it does resonate with how I've seen them promote the growth and revitalization of Detroit.  and it has come a LONG way since I lived there and it has a great energy

I’ll admit my first reaction to it was “they should have used Lose Yourself like in the Chrysler commercial.” So yes, I definitely saw the similarities between the commercials. But I don’t care, I’ll take all the positive Detroit commercials that can be made 🙂

Reporting is all over the place as to how many and the reasons they weren't there. One guy interviewed said there were supposed to be 60, another 20. One blamed lack of fuel, another that trump hadn't paid the bill. Regardless fyre level shitshow.

I don’t even understand why he is having a rally in CA and this is at least the 2nd time he’s been here since the debate. Is it just the narcissist in him wanting to trash Harris’ home state?
