Guess I'll start, since I was going to add to September. LOL
I just finished listening to Listen to the Lie, and I actually really liked it. It wasn't a mindblowing story, but the narration was fun and I sped through it.
I am currently about half way through Somewhere Beyond the Sea which is the sequel to House in the Cerulean Sea. I am liking it but not LOVING it. The original books is one of my all time favorites so it’s a lot to live up to.

I'm currently listening to the last audiobook (of 3) of the Kagan the Damned series, by Jonathan Maberry. It's a Game of Thrones-ish/fantasy realm type of story. I've really enjoyed it and don't want it to end. The narrator (Ray Porter) is amazing.

I am listening to Fractured by Karin Slaughter, she is my go-to for thrillers and she has written about 800 of them
Just finished:
Still See You Everywhere - unique concept but got more far-fetched as it went on The New Couple in 5B - Thought it was a thriller but it had a supernatural spin, it was ok The Woman in Cabin 10 - pretty good twist
I also read a few Freida McFadden books in a row, her books are a bit shorter so I will read them while I wait for stuff to come off hold. Someone on Goodreads nailed what bothers me about her books - the premise is always really good, but her lead is always a woman who makes really dumb decisions and doesn't get the most obvious clues until the very end - it's so frustrating, like yelling at the person who runs upstairs in a horror movie.

Currently reading She Left. It's a who-done-it style novel and I'm liking it so far. Need to get back to reading it, though, since I haven't had any free time to just read for pleasure in the last couple of weeks.
I have 12 books checked out right now 🤦🏻♀️ all with varying due dates, but I just know some are going to have to go back unread and go back on my hold list.
I’m currently reading How to Read a Book and loving it.
Last Halloween I read Interview With the Vampire, I had watched the movie in the past but never read the book...it was soooooo good
I tried reading this last year and gave up halfway through Europe. LOL
I did love The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. That would be a fun October read.
I actually did the audiobook, that probably helped immensely - it ended up being super good but the part where they talk about the village the vampires used to live in was dryyyyyy - the rest was worth it though
Anyone have any suggestions for a fun Halloween or fall themed book/story?
Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig if you’re ok with fairly graphic(maybe? I don’t know what the norm is) horror. It’s kind of batshit, but I loved it.

I just finished The House of Eve. I have no idea who recommended the book, if it was a friend or someone on here. It was a little slow in the beginning but then I couldn't put it down. I loved how the author told the story from 2 different character's point of view.
I do not know how Elanor lived with her husband and his mother's antics! Holy shit! So many times did Rose overstep boundaries and it seemed like William was like "Oh, well that's my Mom."

This was cute. I enjoyed it. The parrots were a fun element to the story.

I’m currently reading Here One Moment, the new one by Liane Moriarty. I’ve liked some of her books in the past, so we will see about this one. It’s keeping my attention.
I’m flying to Italy in less than 2 weeks. Anyone have good recommendations for a flight?

Have you read The Nightengale yet? That would be a good one.

isabel, I’m reading The Small and The Mighty right now, and my oldest has asked to read it when I’m done. History is usually NOT my genre, but this is so, so good. Uplifting and inspiring. Highly recommend!
I’m also reading Anxious Generation, but having a hard time getting into it. It’s generally something that I’m interested in, but I think the science is pretty weak. He draws really dark lines connecting things when I think there are a LOT of things that contribute.
I look forward to the first of the month for two reasons. A new Amazon First Reads selection and a new Book of the Month selection. This month all the picks are Halloween themed, a genre I have no interest in ☹️.
I’m currently reading Bear by Julia Phillips which is ok, but not amazing. I started James by Percival Everett but realized I didn’t want to read a challenging book right now. Also reading I’m Mostly Here to Enjoy Myself by Glynnis MacNicol. Next up is Guncle Abroad.
