I recently bought a timed feeder for my cat. He gets a can in the AM and normally grazes on dry throughout the day. But the lab would find any opportunity to charge up to the 3rd floor and eat the whole bowl of dry food before I could grab him. In place of having a pet door installed for the cat, I bought the feeder and had it release food 4 times a day. I reasoned that if piggy boy got it, at least it would just be one small serving. He last made it up there the other night. I went up today to clean the litter box and saw that the dispenser had been knocked on its side and the food reserve was completed empty.
I’ll look into this. I had a similar device at the old house but couldn’t use it bc the cat is a 20 lb chonk and it didn’t let the door open enough for him to squeeze through.
I took my 3 DDs to a Country Festival this weekend and my feet hurt!! Luckily, we stayed about 3 blocks from the venue so we could walk down. It was soooo fun and soooo crowded. I doubt I would do it again but I got to see Jelly Roll and the girls got to see quite a few artists they like - so worth it for a one time thing.

I had a great tennis match today, so happy I found a sport I love during Covid. We played two hours and three sets and got the the win but it was hard. All the endorphins now. Also it was too hot. Just relaxing now and I'll watch more of the Adam Brody show I can never remember the name of. I love it. Our DD lost her water polo match today but they made it all the way to the finals for state. it's a small sport though so not many teams. DH is grilling brats for us and I'm having a glass of red wine
I need to figure out what we’re actually going to do in NYC at the end of this month. I have a list but don’t know where anything is so I don’t know what to put on each day.
Definitely post the list. I live right outside the city and commute there 4 days a week. Happy to help.
I forgot to share that DS scored his first goal ever in his soccer game Friday. This is his 4th year playing. He tries hard but just hadn't gotten there yet. He was SO proud of himself! And then he yelled, "this was the first goal of my WHOLE CAREER!" lol.
Nothing I can find really gives any real clue to what your concern level is supposed to be here. I’m not ingesting my utensils. I don’t cook in my spoon. They only touch the food briefly to move it around in the pan. They don’t even really get hot.
How much is actually being released or whatever? I just keep seeing that it’s present and concerning but not the real practical application of that news.
I agree - it’s kind of confusing. Not sure if this is just fear-mongering (like, there are carcinogens in furniture, carpet, etc - which I think we all know, but like, what are we supposed to do about it), or whether I should really be concerned.
I heard something to the effect of microplastics are going to be our generation’s lead paint or asbestos, which greatly impacted our parent’s and grandparent’s generations. Ultimately, humans are living a lot longer and are healthier, with much more medical knowledge that is constantly improving when it comes to things like cancer. Of course there’s some trade-offs, like maybe we are less active and eat more processed foods than our grandparents who grew up on a farm but we also don’t smoke 3 packs a day. Basically, we can only do the best we can with the knowledge we can and vote for representatives that pass laws that protect consumers and not big businesses that destroy the earth and harm people 🤷♀️
Random: On the topic of people living longer…there’s some speculation that most of the people claiming to be over 105 are not that old… in most cases records do not exist for various reasons and there are a lot of reasons why they or their families would have lied about their age at some point.
