silva , I am so sorry to hear the diagnosis you got today. I googled so you don't have to, and it looks very treatable. I hope your experience is similar to stymes.
Ductal Carcinoma in Situ and Invasive ductal carcinoma, grade 2 (IDC grade 2).
I'm shocked and can't focus right now. Numb. Next I wait to get a phone call from the breast center for next steps. So unreal.
Also, please feel free to PM me if you want! I am just now at the tail end of treatment so everything is super fresh for me.
Mine was also a surprise diagnosis on the very first mammo I ever had. I hope things move as quickly for you as they did for me. Surgery was less than 2 months after diagnosis.
waverly, for sure! I did leave it up to him who to invite, with a few gentle suggestions from me of kids that he's recently hung out with or gets along well with. However, we're keeping it to 6 kids because that's the type of party we booked and he kept mentioning other kids and I was like sorry dude, we have to cut it off somewhere!
How does this happen??? The line of "too many" is very, very clear by licensing standards so she knows full and well she's breaking the rules. What else does she compromise on?
She has several other staff there as well. I think summer is weird and more difficult to predict ratios since kids are more in and out due to camps, vacations, etc. Maybe she is down a staff member today? It's a rural area and yea, I'm sure some rules are bent. To be clear my kid is almost 9. Definitely would be more concerned about this if he was a baby.
We’ve dealt with this a few times at my kid’s daycare and their preschool. I trusted both places completely, but if I didn’t it would definitely be a red flag.
silva - I'm so sorry! Cancer can just go fuck itself off a cliff. And boobs? It feels like such a stupid joke that they are these things that get in the way or serve other people our whole lives, and then they go and do this! I will be thinking of you.

Yeah I just thought it was interesting that she texted the group lol. Like what do you want us to say?? One jokester parent replied "can you just tell them that the extra kids are family members?"

It’s good she was open about it. Parents are going to find out anyway because you’ll likely have to sign off on the report.
@silva thinking of you. My cousin had the same diagnosis at 43 (I think) and had a double mastectomy. She’s cancer free and doing great several years later. Hoping for the same, and a quick process to cancer free, for you!
I drink 6ish cups of water/day and coffee and milk in cereal. I'm on lexapro, bp meds and anti-seizure meds. My sodium level was normal in April and 128 on July 21st. With each new blood draw it gets lower.
Lexapro is probably the culprit, I also take Valsartan for HBP. If you have one that has a diuretic component like Valsartan does, that can also contribute. My doctor seems to think it’s the Lexapro and water consumption. I do drink one, sometimes two drip drop hydration packets a day now.
I've been on lexapro for 3 years. Why would it suddenly start messing with my sodium level now after 3 years of not? My lisinopril (1 year) and my carbatrol (19.5 years) can also cause low sodium but why after so long would it suddenly be a problem? Why out of no where? I get my blood drawn every April for my carbatrol and my sodium level was normal. And it keeps dropping with each blood draw (4 since July 21st).

No clue! I've been on lexapro for 25ish yrs and this has been a more recent development.
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
Thinking of you, silva, as you process all of this and get started on your treatment path. Here's hoping that things move quickly and are as effective as possible.

silvahalo ((hugs)) My healing thoughts will be with you. The wait for surgery / specialists can feel like an eternity even if it is only days or weeks. Hang in there and rely on your support system. Don’t feel like you can’t reach out for support, or if people offer support, it’s ok to say you aren’t sure right now and tell them you’ll get back to them or ask them to to check on you again in X amount of time. Sometimes it helps to have one support person be the point person/ communicator so you don’t have to deal with all of that.
