I was a more regular poster a couple years ago, then got busy with life and having a baby, but I'm baaaaaack!

I've been with DH for 10 years this fall, married almost 5, had DS a year ago. We live in the Chicago burbs and I work for a beverage company.

I am a CPA and my husband is a student still working on his bachelors. We've been married for almost 3 years. No kids, but we have a wonderful dog named Stella and just adopted a cat named Dexter.

I've lurked for a while, but don't post with any regularity. (Stupid work gets in the way.) (And I was sam&val on the nest.)

No interesting facts about me, but I will share an AW: As of the end of this month, H & I will be credit card debt free!! We've paid off nearly $70k in cc debt in just under 4 years (through a debt management program). I wish we were 100% debt free, but we just bought a new car. I'd hoped to wait a few more months before doing so, but our old one (we only have 1 car) died sooner than we'd thought it would.

My fun fact is that I almost got run over by R. Kelly on a Segway a few years ago. That's about my only brush with the almost-famous.

Random facts: I've been a vegetarian for 13 years, but am considering going back once this soon-to-arrive baby hits the solid food stage, because it seems like it would just be a much easier endeavor for the whole family. But the idea of that first meal kinda skeves me out. I'm torn.

I've been on the Knot, Nest, Bump for - gulp - almost ten years? That is a scary thought. I mostly post on Working Moms on The Bump but have posted once or twice here looking for advice.

Some of you may remember, I posted earlier this year about DH's inheritance and his wanting to spend a significant chunk of it on an exotic car. I will have to post an update soon.

Other than that, I work in HR, have five year old twins and a three year old.

Somewhat interesting fact - I was a professional ballet dancer for a small regional company right out of high school. Then realized there was no way I wanted to continue my diet for another fifteen years so I went to college.

I've just started maternity leave with my second. Been lurking on and off for years, but quite a bit during the past year. I credit MM with the fact that we've paid off all consumer debt (car, ccs), one private student loan, and med bills, plus increased our e fund by 1/3 and better retirement/savings monthly habits, over the past year!

Fun fact: I moved 6 times from preschool to high school (4 states and 1 foreign country).

And yes, I am a Murakami fan.

Have you met a celebrity? I worked at Universal and buckled several of them into the ride vehicle of the attraction I worked, but I was moving so fast I never really paid attention. We weren't supposed to acknowledge they were celebrities anyway.

Witnessed a murder? Nope. I saw a car lose control and flip several times in a ditch once. That was pretty freaky.

Have a famous relative? Not that I know of, but my mom was adopted so maybe.

A hidden talent? I'm overall crafty. My friends always make jokes about me turning piles of garbage into useful masterpieces.

My interesting fact is that I've written 5 novels during National Novel Writing Month. This November, I will be writing my first sequel.

I work in college athletics. The only famous people I know or have met are athletes & coaches.

Met DH in 1989, on the first day of 7th grade. He was the new kid in class. Didn't have our first date until 2006, and married in 2008.

We live with our dog, Sam, a rottie mix who is a Hurricane Katrina rescue. Not surprisingly, he hates water.

I've lurked for a long time and have learned a ton from doing so. This may be my coming out party! I'm technically a pharmacist by training, but I've never filled a prescription and wouldn't know how to if my life depended on it. I've jumped out of a plane but I'm terrified of flying. I just ran into Vince Neil in Chicago 2 weeks ago and he was acting like a total diva. The first time I ever bonged a beer, the funnel was held by a secret service agent who was protecting a certain former president's daughter.

I post, but not often. I got married at 20. I have two DDs. Baby #3 its on the way. (last one unless I can convince DH to adopt a baby girl fromChina!) I am a SAHM and we just bought a house in January. I've lurked and sporadically posted since right after DD 1 was born in 2008. I enjoy sewing and crocheting, and am passionate about cake decorating.

Eta: We would be nowhere near as well off now if it weren't for MM!

I'm 27 and live in NYC. I met my husband when I was in high school, and we've been married for 1.5 years. Our cat, Tiny, (who is not so Tiny) is pictured in my avatar and siggy. I was active on TK but mostly lurked on TN since all the cool kids from my wedding month have our own off boards.

I work for a suicide prevention organization, and my husband is a information security analyst for the Fed. We live in a tiny studio in Brooklyn, and love it!
