I have never been to that ER, but was taken to a different one twice in the last year--once after a car accident, once because of a miscarriage gone wrong. For the m/c, we were in a different house where the other ER was closer. For the car accident, I was transported there by ambulance from a different location and chose that hospital because it's where my OBs are on staff.

The Providence hospitals are about 15 minutes away. I'm sure that there might be one 5-10 minutes closer, but I would prefer to go another 5 minutes for a better hospital. And no, we have yet to need to go to the ER in the 3 years that we've lived here- although there were some close calls.
The ER is about 5-10 minutes away but I haven't used it. I choose to wait for the immediate care to open a few weeks ago when I wasn't sure if I sprained or broke my foot. Best move ever it was way cheaper then I thought it would be.
I have used the immediate care place that is 10-15 minutes away.
I have no clue how far the closest is, I would have to be dying to go there- we live right near a really shady area with a few hospitals. However a few miles away are some of the best hospitals in the country- unfortunately yes I've been there

Probably about 10 minutes away, but the one I went to is about 20 minutes away. I went for a spinal headache. I had a spinal tap a few days before and ultimately ended up on all fours, so off to the ER we went.
I think maybe 10 minutes. I've never been there. I've gone to other ERs but have never had to go to this one. Thank god, because it is not a very good hospital.

5 minutes away.
Haven't been to an ER since an unrelenting migraine 8 yrs ago. But DH and I have been known to stitch up lacerations for ourselves, so that probably skews things quite a bit.
5 minutes away, maybe 2 miles tops. It's a newer hospital and one of our friends had her baby there and it's really nice, and good reputation already. I've not been there yet -- my last ER visit happened while at work about 3 1/2 years ago when I needed stitches on my finger from a glass breaking while washing it.

LOL. Being a physician has enhanced my H's hypochondriac tendencies more than anything else. He has been to the ER four times in the past eight years, two of which were false alarms. As for the real issues, he tore his ACL and had appendicitis; the other two times, he was having allergy problems (they gave him Benadryl and sent him home) and thought he had appendicitis (generic stomach bug).
A little over a mile a way. Yes, we've had to use it. However, we don't like it. We'd rather use the ER at Hoag if possible which is about 10 miles away. Last time we used the close ER was prolly 4 or 5 years ago. And Hoag was prolly 2 or 3 years ago.

Less than 2 miles. I went there once with my dad when I was visiting my parents during college. That was before I lived with I am now. I've never had to go to an ER for myself. DH went to one about 7 years ago when we lived in Chicago. He took the 'L'. There was one just a few blocks away, but he was told to go to a particular place for workers comp to cover it (which they proceeded to not to anyway.)
