What you are doing is incredibly brave and selfless. I just told my sister your story (what has been posted today) and we are so grateful that there are people like you in the world. Charlotte will be in such amazing care with your family.
I'm just reading this thread but so happy about your latest update. I cannot even imagine the range of emotions you have gone through today. You and your H are such amazing people and your daughters are lucky to have you as parents.
I hope everything goes perfectly with the pick-up tomorrow. Talk about being overly invested - we'll all want to know when you have her safe at home.

I will update as soon as we are home. =)
Wouldnt hate on some new baby pics tomorrow. Just sayin.....
OH MY GOD!!!!! So true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
Sunny side, let me know if there's anything I can do to help from afar - if you need stuff set up a registry and let us buy it for you!!!!!!
Thank you all so much! Your offers and well wishes mean so much. I know I haven't met any of you in person, but you are all such good people. =)
We ordered a crib. I got a bassinet. I think that will work for a while. She is so tiny. We got diapers and wipes and some clothes, one of the bouncy chairs, a swing and some bottles and formula and a car seat of course.
I feel like I must be missing some things. Anything I MUST have that I missed?
Burp cloths (although hand towels suffice here), diaper rash cream, bath soap, baby bath tub in some form, since it's summer I'd recommend muslin swaddle blankets like Aden&Anais (they're great both as light blankets and sun shades). None of what I listed are immediate needs, but you'll probably want them within a week or so.
Congrats! You and your family are absolutely amazing. I can't even imagine dealing with surprise! baby. I would love to see some pics!
Eta: pics when you are able to share.
I keep thinking 'just one...' No Sunnyside. No. Haha
I think I can speak for everyone saying that, although pics would be awesome, none of us would want you to do anything to jeopardize your family. So, if no pics are allowed we totally understand.

I won't. I just want to show off her cute baby face. =)
I can wait. And there will be way more pictures to share then!

I love all of your updates!! I know there is a lot coming at your right now and loads of people that want to help. I would be happy to help orchestrate a list of needed items and work with people to distribute your address if you are interested. Just thought that might be easier than you trying to PM with lots of people while you have so much going on :-)
If you are interested, please just PM me. Your girls are so lucky to have such brave, compassionate family with open arms and hearts!!
Congratulations on the new addition. What a whirlwind experience. I'm glad you're getting vouchers and other help. I'm looking forward to pictures in six months (don't forget to include pictures of "younger than six months" and Adoption Day!)
C is very lucky to have you and her sisters (just as lucky as you are to have them, I'm sure.) I'm very happy for you...or I will be when you're able to catch a breath and let your head stop spinning.
OMG, talk about a major, major life change in a crazy short amount of time!! I can't even imagine making a decision like that in just 12 hrs! But how exciting for your family! Are your other girls excited?!
Good luck with everything...Charlotte is very lucky.
They didn't come with us this morning. But we went and got them to take them shopping with us. We explained that they had a new baby sister, and that she was going to come live with us.
DD1 understands, and she is excited about it. DD2 thinks we are buying everything for her. Lol. She keeps yelling 'MINE' in the store. And when we were testing out infant Carseats to fit in our car. She kept saying 'IN,IN'
Also. We had a hard time finding a car seat that will fit with a tall back booster, and a rear facing convertible. Oy. The mini van will be coming sooner then we expected.
We can't bring them into the NICU. so their first time with her will be when she comes home.
First of all, huge, huge, huge congratulations on sweet Charlotte. She is a very lucky little girl. Second, I don't know if you've already purchased a car seat, but it might be worth looking at the Cybex Aton. It has a very narrow base and is known to fit well in tight spaces. It's a little pricey, but I'd be so happy to pitch in, and I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to help.
