Last year was my first year doing it... Personally I don't think as a healthy young person I needed one, and my primary care isn't a big supporter either, but my gastroenterologist will stop the treatment for my ulcerative colitis if I don't get one. He says it is important since my immune system is being suppressed. I had to beg my primary care for my pneumonia and hep b vaccines.
But honestly, I really never got them regularly though before I started being in the hospital for rotations. I've hard colds throughout my life, but never the flu or any other serious illness, so I never really made it a priority to get one.
T and H will. I can't because I had trouble breathing after I had one in 7th grade. I'm not allergic to eggs so I don't understand why I had a reaction.

Yes. Although, the other day in my FB feed I read if I only apply essential oils 12 times a day for the next few months I won't get it either. Also, the oils can fight all strains and mutations of strains of the flu.

I'm required for work. Since I'm pregnant, DH will get one too. I get sick too easily to not, especially since asthma is generally worse in pregnancy. (When I get sick, it exacerbates my asthma and bad things happen.)
Both H and I have since DS was born. This year we'll all get one again. It will be more important for us this year since I'm assuming DSD will be coming here from South America to live with us in the next 6 months or so.
I wonder if I should get mine while still pregnant or wait until after the baby is here. We're talking about a 2 week window. Does the flu shot transfer any benefits to a fetus?
Yes. My SIL is getting chemo, and I'm pregnant and have a toddler at home. I'll get it at the OB's at my next appt. DD had hers last week at her well-child visit.
