No no no. Frank is all pinkie-in-the-air tea and legs crossed and "good heavens!"
I will take Scottish outlaw between the rocks any day. I also have a thing for Jax Teller and never dated college guys but military guys instead so...take that for what it's worth.
I can be REALLY obnoxious on Twitter sometimes so please bear with me.
Um wait til season of GoT, hahaha
I have a stupid GOT question but I didn't want to make a new post. They talk about how odd it is that Robin hasn't been fostered somewhere at the ripe old age of 8. Why didn't all the Stark boys foster somewhere? They all stayed at Winterfell.

Huh. I'm not sure I know. Was Jaime Lannister fostered anywhere? Does it have to do w Ned being a warden maybe? I think fostering extra sons and fatherless sons was the norm but im not sure about the major families boys. Hmmm

I don't remember Jamie being fostered anywhere else either. I don't think Joffrey was either.
Theon was fostered at Winterfell so that his father won't rebel against Robert again so it's like a reassurance? Like, "I got your kid so we better stay in good terms." type of thing?
Or it's to build alliances too like sending Myrcella to Dorne.

But remember Ned and Robert fostered together with Jon Arryn. I don't think they mention Jamie fostering anywhere. I think Joffrey is exempt because i dont think princes are sent anywhere (at least from the historical fiction i read). I don't like inconsistencies!

In the real middle ages princes were typically set up in their own establishment at very young ages, hence why Edward V was captured by Richard III on his way back from Wales after Edward VI died. He had been living in Ludlow Castle Wales since he was 3ish. But no Princes did not foster, though other young aristocrats would be be fostered in the household under the direction of the Governor of the Prince's household.

I neeeeed the world of ice and fire now!
Last night I read the battle at Kings Landing and it was still a nail biter. Fuck wildfire man!

Robert was an orphan. Not sure why Ned was fostered though. Huh

Aw fucking hell....more questions.
ETA: or see above. Aristocrats send their kids to a higher household?

Wait, ok, bran would have been, and soon but there wasn't the need bc Ned was alive. Robb would've stayed in Winterfell abd Jon is a (fucking gorgeous) bastard
And Ned was the second son. I still hVe no idea why the stark boys didn't foster
Because then Bran wouldn't have been pushed out of the tower and we would lose a whole boring storyline.
I don't know if a bastard would be fostered back then....In historical Westeros.
I always wished Cat was nicer to Jon. If only to make Jon/Rob close and have an extra brother to have his back. Jon would have made a great #2 for Robb ' s army. But maybe he has bigger and better things coming...... ..........................

I just found this: Fostering helped young nobles make connections with other families while training them in the skills they would need as adult members of the aristocracy. Spending time with young people of a similar age and social class would – or so their parents hoped – strengthen the political bonds among the next generation of the nobility, and maybe even enable them to find a potential spouse.

DG just posted 4 pics from the wedding episode with the following Now here's a question for the ladies: A gentleman of my acquaintance asked me recently (in apparent puzzlement): "What's so appealing about a virgin bridegroom?" So...what's _your_ answer to that? <g> The comments are hilarious so far.

LOL.
I totally thought he already hooked up with Longhaire or whateverthehell you spell it and when he said he's a virgin, my jaw dropped and I giggled like school girl and DH was all "WTF?"
I finally kicked H out of the house so I could squeal at the sex scenes in peace. I have several comments, in no particular order:
1. That Michelangelo ass 2. I am obsessed with Claire's wedding dress. Grey + wool + shiny things + autumnal leaves = a few of amoosed's favorite things 3. I don't like that they changed the ring Jamie gives Claire 4. I was disappointed that they changed where Frank and Claire got married, but I LOVED the opening scene at the courthouse 5. I assume that weirdo sketch that Randall drew comes into play in a later book? I only just finished book 2. 6. The sex seemed like a good adaptation of the book- it gets better. 7. That ass, though
