I always explain to them where I am going and when I'll be back - so on work days I say something like "I hope you have a wonderful day baby dogs, we have to go to work, I wish you could come with me because I'll miss you all day! But work isn't much fun anyway so you'll have a good day being home. We'll see you tonight. I love you!" (this is all while I'm putting on shoes and whatever).
If I'm just running out I'll say something like "I'm just going to the store, I'll be back soon with treats!" or "I'm just going to pick up your daddy, I'll be back so soon you won't even miss me!".
When I get home from work, I usually ask them how their day was. LOL.
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
She knows that after she comes in from her morning potty it's crate time. So she walks in and I close the door behind her. Usually I give her a pet and say Bye Momma! When I get home, I open the crate, she jumps up with her front paws and stretches on me, then I let her outside. There are many high pitched greetings from me while this is happening.
I love all of you who put one of your animals in charge of the others. LOL!
