Leaving your fur babies at home

Yes- usually "See you later. Be a good girl. Protect the house". I think she understands this means we're leaving and she's not coming. She'll go lay in her bed after hearing that instead of getting all excited that she is going somewhere.

I ask him what channel he wants to watch, and then tell him not to poop anywhere.

I always say "goodbye," "I love you," and "be a good boy." My dd does the same. Sometimes, we blow kisses, but we always give hugs.

I say "go to your bed". Then she realizes she's not coming with us and then gives the most heartbroken/betrayed look in the world. Then I hate myself for the rest of the day. Ugh.

Our leaving routine is kisses and I love you's, and then he gets his Kong bone. I think I also tell him "see you soon," usually.

We tell them to "watch the house". Sometimes we will tell them that one of them is in charge for the day. We vary it up so they don't get jealous, ya know.

Yes. I give her kisses, tell her I will miss her, tell her where I'm going and about how long until I get back and then tell her I love her.

If I don't say "OK, babies...I'll be back" as I'm walking out the door I don't feel right.
And I'll usually tell them where I'm going and about how long I'll be gone as I put on my shoes.
