You know what always bugged the shit out of me about GG? There is NO FUCKING WAY that Lorelai and Rory ate all that fucking junk food and takeout and processed shit all the time and looked that good. Poetic license, my ass. Bitches.
I know. The real mystery here is why do I hate them for this but Liz Lemon can eat no wrong?
I still occasionally think about the "All in" scene with Luke and Leoreli when he tells her how much he's always digged her, and pulls out something from his wallet that he's been carrying around since he first met her. That was very romantical.
I kind of hated that scene. I know he'd been pining for her and all, but this was their first date. I thought he came on a little strong, lol.
And for Luke to go from that to lying about April, never wanting to set a date, etc. seemed strange to me.
Remember Lorelai's dream about being pregnant with twins and married to Luke? I wanted the series to end there. Nothing about Luke made sense once the April storyline started.
Dean was a jealous, controlling dill hole, and the actor who plays him has tiny pig eyes.
Jesse was hot, but short, and a total asshole until the later seasons when he returned and got his shit together.
Logan was a pretty boy, rich asshole, but went on to be a successful lawyer in Chicago. He had to change his name to distance himself from his father.
Luke was an idiot about the whole April thing.
Liza Weil was originally considered for the role of Rory, and when Alexis Bledel was cast, ASP created the Paris character specifically for her.
Aside from Kelly Bishop, the best actor on the show was Michael Winters, aka Taylor Doose. He's semi-locale to Seattle and we accidentally saw him in a play called Becky's New Car at ACT, and then accidentally again in Merchant of Venice at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. I've since become a pseudo groupie, and took a trip down to Ashland in 2013 to see him play King Lear. He is fabulous.

Absolutely. He was committed, and you could tell he had one hell of a backstory for his character. Love it.
Good god, I fucking hated Taylor and every single one of his storylines.
Like when he pouted in the candy shop during the election?
I kept wondering...did I miss something or did they completely skip over any explanation of how he became the town selectman (?) again after Jackson beat him?
I HATED what they did to Lane at the end. Really I just prefer to think that nothing happens after the episode before the Rory and the yacht episode. I also really really hated the April storyline. It made no sense.
I love this show, less than stellar acting and all. But I hated a lot of the storylines the last 2 or so seasons. I tend to skip parts of them when I rewatch.

I once saw Rory and Jess at a party when they were IRL dating. All they did was play poker and make out. He was so hot and she was so normal looking. I never heard about the abuse thing :/
That show jumped the shark when she stole the yacht. Rory became insufferable when she started dating Logan and was schmoozing with his friends. I liked sweet, innocent Stars Hollow Rory.
The April story line was crap. It bothered me that they used the same actress for Jess's dads GF/wife as they did for Aprils Mom (Sherilynn Finn).
I soooo wanted Rory with Marty. He was cute, nice, smart...
My dad hate hate hated this show and would leave the room when my mom and I tried to watch it. He hated that they never stopped talking. I remember reading in an article that most shows have something like 10 pages of lines to remember and GG they had like 30.
But I think I liked the show so much the first time because my mother and I ARE Lorelai and Rory circa seasons 1-3ish. She is the bright, bubbly, quirky erring on the side of nuts one, and I am the much more studious and serious and mature one. The similarities always made us laugh.
And my mom loved Stars Hollow so much she tried to look up where the town was so she could move there. Turns out it's a big lot at the studio in CA. It's the same one from Ghost Whisperer and a few other shows lol

lol. The pilot was filmed in a small town in Ontario about 30 minutes from where I grew up. She could move there! Haha

The Gilmore Guys podcast is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Also they had a guest on who compared Alexis Bledel to Kristen Stewart in her acting and now I can't unsee it.
Jackson got overwhelmed with everyone crawling up his ass and wanting shit and gave the job back to Taylor.
I basically hate everything after season 4. Although the finale always makes me cry. But fuck a bunch of Logan and fuck a bunch of April and fuck a bunch of Christopher.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
That was assumed, but would it have killed them to put a line in there explaining that? After devoting two episodes to the plot, to suddenly pretend it didn't happen made no sense.
They did. There was a scene of Jackson feeling overwhelmed and begging Taylor to take over again.

I had to agree with Mitchum Huntsberger when he told Rory she didn't have what it took. She was way too simpering and timid to be a reporter, and lol that she wanted to be a foreign correspondent. If she'd had any ambition, his comment would have lit a fire under her arse to prove him wrong. Instead it totally derailed her because, aside from a couple of mediocre grades, she'd never been criticised in her life.

Totally agree. I never understood how she could be allegedly perceptive in her writing but so utterly unobservant in her own life. And sooooo timid!

I don't think it's that uncommon for someone who has always excelled and been told how excellent they are to be unable to cope when suddenly told they're not good enough for something.
Plus, it was pretty obvious that it was personal with the Huntzbergers. I could see that being a lot to take.
Still, the yacht stealing and moving in with the grandparents and not speaking to Lorelai was just so out of character. And eff Logan for being all "whatevs, you do you, babe". Jess would never have let her sink that far. Even sucktastic Dean would have been all "Uh, dude?"
