Mine starts with 1-7 days of intermittent spotting - I am the luckiest.
Mine has been doing this lately, too. It's usually over quick after that and never really heavy, but I'm not used to it. I assumed my elderly uterus was just running out of gas, lol.
May I ask a TMI question? Do you use a menstrual cup on light days like that? One of my hesitations (besides, you know, the general idea of a menstrual cup) is that my flow is only heavy enough for a tampon for a day or 2, so I wasn't sure whether a cup was appropriate for not-so-heavy flow.

A cup is safe no matter the flow, which is what makes it nice when my body is being indecisive. You can wear it in anticipation, or keep it in a day or two after for insurance. As long as you wash it twice a day, it's fine.
L has become obsessed with things matching. EVERYTHING must match her shirt--her bow,her socks, her BIB, for the love of God. It's still mostly charming, but I suspect will get old soon.
I'm dying here today. I'm gonna run away from home with my stuff in a handkerchief hanging off a stick. I have a migraine. I've already taken the max Tylenol I can take, I can't take anymore. DS would not nap in his bed, yelling screaming, throwing, stuff. So I cave and bring him into my bed. After I don't know how long of me rubbing his back and singing songs, he finally falls asleep.
The baby instantly changes position, and is laying painfully on my spleen or something. So I try to ninja quietly roll over to relieve the pain, and I wake DS up!
Everything hurts, I'm tired, I'm hungry, and I've got, what, FOUR more hours until bedtime?!

Ours went on the CC (wilted). We didn't have $2300 out of the blue.
Holy smokes! We only paid 700 for ours last year.
We had a busted gas hot water heater removed, a new ultra quiet electric one installed, plus all the associated piping and rewiring or whatever. So it was more expensive than the standard "swap a tank for a new one."
E is picky about what necklace I wear. "No, that necklace, mommy!" He's a little more tactful with some things, though still probably judging a little: "Why wear glasses, mommy?"
He did want to pick out a shirt for me over the weekend. He chose my Catbus shirt (LOL, from Shirt Woot) (niq) and said, "I love love that shirt."
Does anyone else who's considering #2 have one of those days where the first kid STTN, you had a decent night's sleep too, nothing went horribly wrong, and yet you're somehow exhausted at 9am, at which point you think "am I bats**t insane for wanting to sign up for another one?"
I'm 3 months pregnant and am occasionally like, "OH MY GOD WHAT DID WE DOOOOOOOO???"
And niq, I'm 7 months PG and after the day I've had today, I'm moving from "what did we dooooo" into full-blown "needs to hyperventilate into a paper bag. Or some Valium." So in my limited experience biscoffcookies, that feeling doesn't get any better!

Yeah, I was going to say this feeling of "why did we think this was a good idea?" can on some days be "omfg such a bad idea" when you factor in various pregnancy symptoms. But I still think it's going to be worth it in the long run.
It's so unfair that everything to prep your body for labor is so physically unpleasant (squats, bouncing, walking, late pregnancy sex). Why can't laying in bed watching Netflix streaming magically ripen my cervix?

Well, even people that go the "laying in bed and watching Netflix" route end up with a baby. I kind of think most of the things you're told to do are woo rather than science.

Have you tried any caffeine? Try a cold can of coke or a cup of coffee. Those both help when I have a migraine. And if all I can take is tylenol, I lay down with an ice pack too. Just turn on a movie or netflix and lay on the couch with ice on your head until your H gets home. Or sometimes a hot shower? On days like that, I don't care if DD trashes the bathroom or living room or pulls stuff out of my dresser drawers as long as I can lay without moving.
Sorry, migraines are the worst when you're pregnant. I even have fioricet to take, and it really only works if I can take it with 2 motrin, which you can't do after 30 weeks. Hope you feel better soon.

Can you kneel over a yoga ball while watching TV? That's what got DS into position and started things for me and I found it soothing.
I just ordered one. I figure even if it doesn't work C will have fun with it.

Thanks (heart). I ate a gestational-diabetes approved snack of carrots sticks, light ranch dip, and cheese cubes. I've parked DS in front of Curious George. And called DH for reinforcements. Hopefully he can make dinner while I lay down for a bit.

My sis had her ivf transfer today. Omg, I hope she's pregnant!
Good luck to her!! Thanks How many did she transfer? 2, she has a bunch (19 embryos?) frozen. 5 day or 3 day? Not a clue. I'm not well-versed in IVF. They took her eggs last month but her progesterone levels were too high so she had to freeze them and do the transfer this month.
I just had Bulletproof Coffee for the first time. Man, it's good.
So creamy! So fueling! I get a little defensive when people (who have never even tried it!) knock it as gross, stupid, etc.
I've actually fallen out of the habit of making it, and now that I'm trying to get back to intermittent fasting/Paleo-ish eating, I should make it part of my routine again.
Wow, that is a TON frozen! Very best of luck, I have a feeling with those numbers that at least 1 of the 2 transferred will be their take home baby. <3
Thank you so much. It's my little sister and I'm so nervous for her! Thankfully her only "issue" was immature eggs which is apparently pretty easy to deal with in the IVF world. By a stroke of luck, her college roommate is an OBGYN and had the exact same problem so I know that having a truly knowledgeable friend to call has made the whole process much easier for my sis.

You are making me really nervous. I haven't gotten a PP period yet. Now I'm worried I'm going to start gushing blood onto the floor while I'm teaching.
Should I keep a pack of heavy duty pads in my office? Or on my person at all times??
@starry We had to replace our water heater and is was much less than I originally imagined. I think we paid $600-ish for the heater and installation. I'm sure it can be done for much less if you and your H are DIY types. Did you get a quote yet?
Flameful? My dad is coordinating today while we work (we are paying for it). He got one last year and predicts $600-800. So also how does a dual income household without family help do it?
We have a super who takes care of that kind of stuff. And our building has a special reserve to cover big ticket items like these. This is why the idea of ever owning a house terrifies me!

lol sorry. I am just a little slaphappy because I got it out yesterday. I promise it's not that bad, I just like to make jokes. If it was that terrible I would not have opted to get a second one after DD2.
I used the DivaCup and would have to dump and replace it every 2-3 hours on my worst Paragard days. I always wore an overnight pad as backup. I would say just keep a couple of super tampons and a pad or two stashed in your car, purse, desk, wherever is handy and you'll be fine. I always had a day or two of spotting prior to starting so I knew it was on its way. It wasn't like one minute nothing, next minute OPEN THE FLOODGATES.
