DD woke up covered in vomit. After spending 20 minutes changing her sheets and wiping down the crib, the room still smells really strongly of vomit. It's DH's turn to stay home with her today, so that's something.
My kids are happy. Last night while I was at my class, DH replaced the batteries in probably a dozen noisy toys. Noooooooo! I am in vtech hell this morning.
Oh and I'm home with E. Crossing everything she starts feeling better today. She's still dozing in her crib, but moving around. This is day 5, poor thing.
I was sleepily waking up this morning, snuggling with DS in my bed, when my phone binged. It was my diabetic tracking app, reminding me to take my fasting blood sugar level (wilted). Oh yes right, I need to prick my finger with a needle the moment I wake up. Lovely.
He woke me up at 515 by coming into out room with a bottle of his ibuprofen saying "i need medicine " lol. He actually wasn't hot, so maybe his fever broke finally? He's been tested for flu, rsv, and strep which were all negative. They did a CBC yesterday which came back fine, too. So just crazy high unexplained fevers for 5 days.
I did get him to fall back asleep after 1 episode is paw patrol. I was worried we were up for the day since he slept all day yesterday.
I found Candy Cane Milano cookies here in Spain over the holidays. They disappeared from the shelves right after Christmas...I was sad I didn't stock up. Well I was at the store today and they had them again...I have already ate a tray of them...so 5. So much for cutting down on all the CRAP I eat.

The bus driver was early for the second day in a row. At least today I kinda predicted it and he didn't have to witness the muppet hands freak out -shove my kid out the door- shenannigans of yesterday.
We can't keep up with the sick…I was sick and DD is just slowly getting over it, now DH is sick. It's been 4 months of upper respiratory tract infections and while it isn't life or death or anything, it's just really effing exhausting. I just want us all to be healthy when the baby gets here.
I think we are done figuring out names…Peter and Rosalie. I feel better now…like I can finally stop searching baby name websites.
I wonder if Netflix is judging my parenting, LOL. DS is sick, so he's been parked on the couch watching Curious George for 3 days. I've noticed that after 3 episodes (so ~70 minutes) the screen goes black and says "are you still watching?" And you have to click "ok." DH and I binge-watched 4 HOURS of TV last night, and Netflix never asked if we were "still watching." Does Netflix think DS is watching too much TV?!
My kid totally pooped just before we left for daycare, and instead of changing him, I told daycare he pooped on the way. :/
When daycare was 3 minutes from our house I would totally do that!
DH is starting a D&D league with some friends tonight. So from now on every other Thursday he won't be home until 10 or 11pm. So it's just me, DD and the dogs tonight. I'm excited that once DD is bed I'll have the whole house to myself.
This is now confirmed? I read an article last week that they would make a decision this year but didn't realize it would be so soon. That sucks, I really like target. I'm not surprised though, for some reason people have it in their heads that it is way more expensive than in the states(its the same prices - I checked), and that it should be the same as walmart(WalMart has always been cheaper, less trendy version imo).
I'm starting to pre worry about choosing a name for #2. a) we haven't even started TTC b) we could still use one of the remaining names we had picked when I was pregnant with B
So, completely logical, right?
I've been trying to come up with a way to use our boy middle name both in a feminine way (in case our hypothetical #2 is a girl as well) AND with another first name (I think it's weird to have both of the names start with the same letter) but have already declared 2015 as "the year of no new babies".

I'm really sad.
It's on CBC this morning.
Its breaking news on cp24 (do you have that in kw?). Dh want to go on a shopping spree tonight to Target. I love their clothes, especially their maternity stuff.
I'm a little passed at MH. The past two days he's been flying nights, so I get both kids up, fed, dressed, and drop DS1 off at school while he gets to continue sleeping. Today was supposed to be my turn to sleep, since he's ack to days.
But he gave the kids breakfast, then proceeded to hole up in the bathroom for 20 mins, during which DS1 came to find me and DS2 was left alone in his high chair in the kitchen, screaming. So I got up and dressed both kids, made DS1's lunch, and packed his backpack.
When MH came out of the bathroom I said, "I love it how when it's my turn to get up with the kids I do everything while you sleep. And when it's your turn to get up with the kids, I get to do everything while you poop."
And he laughed. It wasn't supposed to be funny, dude. It wa supposed to solicit an apology.
I am also sad at the demise of Target, but not really surprised. It was never busy.
I'm struggling at work. It's a lot of stuff I've never done before, so I'm avoiding it. I need to 'fess up to my manager and make him demonstrate things more thoroughly.
I'm still so tired. I took three kinds of drugs before I went to sleep last night (benedryl, a cough suppressant, and sudafed). It kind of worked, with a lozenge as well to kill the coughing. I should have been nicer to DS when he had this, as it's pretty miserable.
@starry We had to replace our water heater and is was much less than I originally imagined. I think we paid $600-ish for the heater and installation. I'm sure it can be done for much less if you and your H are DIY types. Did you get a quote yet?
Same here - ours was probably half that because H installed it. One of our least expensive home repair emergencies.
