Last work day for the week. I'm so close! Longest week ever. Then only two days next week, I'm using an extra day from my leave but I don't care at this point.
I finished Lil's big canvas yesterday and hung it above her bed. Now if only the baby's room was close to being done...
More lice at daycare. 11 kids in the class. 3 definitely have it, 3 serious itchers, with 2 of their siblings in the other building having it. Math majors- what is the percent chance that my child will have it? and do kids not itch when they have it? one of the older sibling supposedly never scratched. Yay lice !
I finally got to sleep around 10, and my left side is so much worse. I planned to get to the doctor early this AM.
My sister called at 11:45 because she was having contractions, and they dropped my nephew off around midnight. I finally got him to sleep at 2 AM. Then I was up every half hour or so checking my phone and texting with my sister. He slept on top of me for most of the time we were in bed. Got up with him and A around 6. Since they both go to the same school, my Mom and I got them up and off to school. My sister texted me around 7:45 to say they are sending her home. She is having contractions, but not dilated. They don't want to do the c-section until 39 weeks, (it was previously scheduled for Monday, anyway). The poor thing. She is just so ready to have this baby.
Since I was up and leaving the house anyway, I came into work. I need to call my doctor, or go to the walk in. I hate going to the doctors. Wahhh.
I thought R was feeling better but she got sick again last night. Now I really do feel like the worst mother for enjoying a sick day.
My period is trying to painfully & slowly kill me. I want to eat all the things, cry at all the things & the pain, oh my god the pain. I hope I don't get this stomach bug too.
I just remembered I took pictures! They are kinda dark because the sun was down. When her whole room is done I'll have to show you guys, I'm so proud of it! It's so fun and girly. Her bedding is shabby chic from target and my Nonnie made her the cutest quilt that's folded at the end of the bed.

We have had it like crazy at school this year. The kids typically don't scratch a lot of it is just nits, but it's super itchy once they hatch. Put a lot of hair product in it and get some tea tree oil to spray in every morning.
We were reading a book about elmo and his doll named David yesterday so I asked Matilda what her dolls name was and she said "umm. Dolly the doll" I smiled fondly and she said "NO mummy you not allowed to laugh at me. DON'T LAUGH AT ME" and went off in a huff.
hehehe I will complain about this and every age, yet this and every age kills me with cuteness too. I love the things she says!
William came in the bathroom with me this morning when I was peeing and said, "mommy potty out her tiny wiener in a hole in her butt." Ohhhh the joys of having boys. I was still half asleep and couldn't even come up to a response to that.
Around noon yesterday wy had an explosive poop. This morning he is legit sick. The green snotty nose, deep cough. I just hope it doesn't turn into croup. Poor guy. He officially has a raw bum.
Hi guys! I was gone in NY the past two days and missed you
I got back last night and the kids were in their sleep sacks getting ready for bed, and DS met me at the door. He started looking behind me out the door and said "mommy where airplane?" I think he thought i was going to bring home the plane. I said "it's too big to be at our house so I left it at the airport"

William's butt was raw for over a week recently from having diarrhea. It eats away at their poor skin so fast and he kept having it very early morning in his pull-up.
Why are kid's clothing sizes so random? Andrew's wearing 3T pants right now. They're too short on him. But 4Ts are too big in the waist. And, I mean, Andrew's not a skinny kid. If I'm having issues getting the right size for him, I feel sorry for the people with tall, lanky kids.
Pants look ridiculous on Owen. There's so much fabric bunched at the waist and they're still too short. He's going to need 3T for length soon and that's just going to be worse. We can only buy pants with the elastic adjusters in the waist!
I swear this is why G is only in the Kohls jumping bean brand in the winter since it is the only one that seems to fit. Otherwise his pants end up around his ankles if he runs around. We're still trying to hit the 30lb mark.
Snow day!! We had record breaking snowfall (for us), but there is a sheet of ice underneath. It's another WFH day and G is kind of over me telling him I'm working. I now have an assistant. Lol.

This is where we are. I need a 3T and a half. 4T are huge around the waist but 3T are too short. I can't wait for summer when I can just put him is some shorts. Those are easier to figure out sizes.
Right now he wears elastic waist pants in 4T that I can roll the waist band to make them fit.

Owen will be 4 before he's 30 lbs. he was 25.4 the other day. :/
Supposed to be in the 40s today, which will go a long way in eradicating the wall of ice we have at the end of our driveway. I took a maddock to it yesterday but heat will clear it faster.
H was up at 6:30, but there was a solid four or five hours in there last night, so that's cool!
I had an incredibly frustrating day yesterday filled with petty annoyances and setbacks. I'm really hoping today is better.

I couldn't get into the chicken run yesterday because of the ice so DH had to break all the ice out. Again this morning I couldn't get in. I'm ready for it to be warm enough to melt it all, not just a little and create more issues.

And 4s are slightly slimmer than 4Ts, but they're almost all button waist. I need elastic for my potty training kid!

G had a growth spurt and we're almost there! He loves to weigh himself and see the numbers, but I think he was 26-27 over the holidays. It does make it easier to lug him around when he wants "to hold you".
I learned something this week that turned my world upside down and will never be the same again. It has been a long week and I just want to crawl in bed and never come out.

Omg. Shave his head if you can. Use tea tree oil as a preventative. Put his stuff in the dryer from daycare daily for 30 minutes on hot or in the freezer overnight.
I was in Andrew'a classroom this morning, finishing up a basket for the charity auction, when one of the kids projectile vomited all over the puzzles and rug. Awesome. The girl didn't have a spare outfit, so she's now rocking Andrew's. I then went to help out with carpool. When I got back, another little girl was heading to the nurse, carrying a bucket. Ugh. It's the last day before winter break!! Don't get Andrew sick!!
Between the two teachers, Andrew's aide, and myself, we divided and conquered. The aide took Andrew and a few kids to find more puzzles in the resource room. Teacher 1 and I took the rest of the kids to the OT room to play. Teacher 2 got the school cleaning team and they went to town on the room. Anything soft was pulled out and everything was sterilized within an ounce of its life. It smelled like a hospital when we got back. They don't mess around. I hope it works.
Add me to the toddler pants war! Lyla is I'm like a 12 month waist and a 3T length. Someone with more talent than I have needs to start an affordable adorable clothing line in slim clothes!
