after counting up everyone we know locally and their children, I've decided on no party. I can't invite 40+ people and 30 children into my 1200 square foot home. Just thinking about it is giving me heart palpitations. The weather beginning of May is just too dicey to plan a backyard party, not worth the risk.
I think we'll just take matilda to the zoo for her birthday, a small family "party".
Why are kid's clothing sizes so random? Andrew's wearing 3T pants right now. They're too short on him. But 4Ts are too big in the waist. And, I mean, Andrew's not a skinny kid. If I'm having issues getting the right size for him, I feel sorry for the people with tall, lanky kids.
Poor Carter has a combo of my huge ass and my husband's lanky build. At least his butt kind of holds things up from sliding off completely because waistbands can never be cinched in tight enough.

Omg, this is Thad (except my husband has the ass.) He has constant plumber butt. The pants slide down his waist but get stuck on the butt. It is a huge problem.
Add us to the sick club. With a bunch of prep to ensure done for my big Kid's birthday party Sunday. We went to the doc Monday and are on prednisone for her cough. We also tried benadryl to dry her up some (as suggested by doc). Still she did not sleep until 1am last night due to coughing. Should be fun today. Ugh.
Landlord got back to us. I'm relived that he is willing to postpone selling the condo for another year, but sooooo upset that in order to do that he needs to raise our rent by $150 a month. I'm just so sad today. I really feel like I've chosen to a difficult path in life and I should have made better decisions long ago. I feel like we have to find a way to afford another $150 a month. I need to get a job ASAP. We really can not move these kids so soon. I need a damn life coach.

The poor kid has so much trouble pulling his pants and underwear up and down because they always catch on his butt. Sorry, buddy.
Supposed to be in the 40s today, which will go a long way in eradicating the wall of ice we have at the end of our driveway. I took a maddock to it yesterday but heat will clear it faster.
H was up at 6:30, but there was a solid four or five hours in there last night, so that's cool!
I had an incredibly frustrating day yesterday filled with petty annoyances and setbacks. I'm really hoping today is better.
I couldn't get into the chicken run yesterday because of the ice so DH had to break all the ice out. Again this morning I couldn't get in. I'm ready for it to be warm enough to melt it all, not just a little and create more issues.
Word. Our concrete front steps are northfacing in the shade. The water drips off of the roof and pools and the result is inches thick of ice. The only thing that removes it is a hammer and a masonry chisel.

I just made V and S soup and they each ate 2 bowls. Them mh brings her a Happy Meal and she says, "thank you, Daddy, for this beautiful lunch. " yeah, don't mind me.

Uggg. Our house is south facing, thank god, but the backyard is iced over.
I have eaten a shameful amount of powdered donuts today in preparation for tomorrow's weigh-in. I'm getting ready to have McDonald's for dinner. Supper will be pizza. This may not end well, lol.
my children are systematically destroying the house. I can't keep anything hidden either because Jameson can open everything! Arg! Looking forward to 70 degree weather next week so they can stay the f outside.
alicia45 and fusion - Did you get a ton of snow?? Ours is melting, but soooo much snow!
My random is I have no idea what to answer when family asks what G wants for his birthday. He has a million and one toys and he doesn't really need more. They have taken over the house! We actually need to go through and sort out everything he no longer plays with. I'm going to just start answering "books" to any and all inquiries.

I'm asking for experiences. Swim classes, zoo membership, etc. He doesn't need anything else and I don't want more crap in the house.
I think a mod in my August BMB will probably kick me out someday lol. She's sexist/racist/ignorant, and I call her out every time. Today she said women should just work harder in the workforce to overcome any sexism? And also the south isn't racist. Saying anywhere in this country isn't racist is a lie, but everybody knows parts of the south deal with some intense racism.

I need to find more possibilities now that we've moved further out into the suburbs, but everyone looked at me like I had two heads when I suggested a zoo membership last year. I get that they want to see G physically open a present, I really do, but I'm tired of "things" just for the sake of getting something to open. I'm sorry, I realize this sounds incredibly ungrateful and bratty.
fusion - Nothing?! I keep thinking you are closer to us than you probably are. We supposedly got 5 inches! I didn't think it would be bad at all when I went to bed.
