I'm so sorry.
Like others have said, it's just a label, and it WILL help with getting him some of the services he needs.
Everything will work out. Don't worry about therapy homework, or the accessibility of the house or anything just yet. Just take it one day at time, and do what you can in that moment. You got this!
If you are not already, you should now qualify for EI physical therapy. My MIL does this, for kids 0-3. They do it in your home so that the exercises can be done given your place and space, etc. There is so much they can do these days. Hang in there.

Huge hugs for you guys - what a lot to process, and what a mess of things to deal with today! You are doing an amazing job and I have no doubt that things will fall into place as you navigate this road. We're all here for you!
Thank you all. His rehab doc actually has CP too, and he is awesome.
It's just a lot to process. Like, our house is the least accessible house possible. And how am I going to deal with keeping up with his therapy homework when working full time?
I have my annual review at work tomorrow so given my shit luck I assume I'll be fired.
I "liked" your post after reading the first sentence, then felt awful after reading the rest, so I removed my like.

My aunt worked full-time when my cousin was born (had to, her husband couldn't handle a special needs baby and left), and used an Easter Seals daycare specifically for children with special needs, and still raves about the care he got there. Just something you could look into.
