Ok.
I think the thing that bothers me, besides 911 not being called is that you stated the parents came and sorted everything out. You say the boyfriend has problems and needs to be fix yet no calls 911 , you know the people who could get him help.
You should have called 911 the moment your dd mentioned he had a gun. Instead you and your H went all "don't mess with our daughter, we gonna kick your ass" mode, which is dumb because if the kid had a gun the whole night could have ended a lot worse.

On next week's episode: Punkass kid is working at the Tastee-Freeze where DD and BFF happen to stop for a frozen treat after bedazzling the headrests of your property to say "Bitches be Rollin". When they realize that he's there, they will stay at the shop to eat instead of leaving immediately. Because what better way to make sure the dude who tried to choke you is on the up and up than to sit and stare at him while you eat ice cream? I dont want to give too many spoilers, but lets just say you wont be disappointed if you were hoping for drama.
Everything else aside, the whole "my baby" thing makes my skin crawl.
And yes. Call the fucking police if someone tries to choke your daughter. Clearly the kid's parents aren't able to handle it. And I absolutely fail to understand the vigilante mindset of the OP, but given that it's Texas, I'm just assuming you think this behavior is totally appropriate and are calling me a socialist in your head anyway.

So lame now that I got the kids settled. He said he had one? Now dd is saying she didn't think he even had one but she yelled it into the phone because it would get us there faster, clearly we have a lot of talking to do with the girls but just glad they are safe. I'm still trying to pin down the details. All I know is he threatened them and now dd told he he tried to choke her at some point. It was all an emotional roller coaster and I'm still trying to put it all together. Bottom line girls were terrified, he threatened them, they called 911 and gave up and the other called us. We went there, I saw he didn't have a gun and pushed him away from my property and made sure my girls were safe. Dh never grabbed his gun. Kids parents showed up. We are planning on pressing charges against him for threatening the girls and laying hands on my dd. dd said to drive to our house but she didn't want him to know where we lived. Yes, it wasn't handled well by anyone but all of the kids are home safe. There wasn't any gun drawn when we got there so I was skeptical because the kid was pretty calm. And what does my marital issue from months ago have to so with it? We've worked through our issues and are better off than the day we got married.
The very second I started practicing driving, my father told me that if I was ever being followed, ever, to drive directly to the nearest police station. I felt this advice was worth sharing. I am now going to go back to reading the rest of this thread.

Why would you need the police when your dad (stepdad?) is packing??
Aside from all the other points already addressed, if a teenage boy tried to choke my teenage daughter, I don't think I'd be satisfied that his parents drove him home with a stern talking to.
But I'm not a mom. Or a bear.
Catfished/mama beared again! Here's a recent picture I took of kevin.

I think my favorite part is the justification for not calling the police about the kid having a gun is that her dh has a concealed carry permit. GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS!
What I'm sitting here thinking about is one of the many horrible "what ifs" - kid actually pulls a gun, so then her DH pulls his. they both start shooting, he kills the kid and then... what? Does she think he won't be arrested and charged w/ murder? Having a concealed carry permit doesn't mean you're above the law.
Relying on that as a reason to not call the cops... I just don't get it.

True true true. Who needs the police when you can handle it on your own?

Is this kid black or white? It might have been ok.

Yes, but she said he didn't HAVE his gun. She just casually mentioned that he had a permit to do it if he wanted to though. Yup, mentioned it for no real reason what-so-ever.
