I'm so sorry you and DD were scared. That sounds terrifying. Did you call the cops at all? If he escalates, it would be a good idea to have a record of his actions. I'm speaking from experience here.

Aside from all the other points already addressed, if a teenage boy tried to choke my teenage daughter, I don't think I'd be satisfied that his parents drove him home with a stern talking to.
But I'm not a mom. Or a bear.
Catfished/mama beared again! Here's a recent picture I took of kevin.
Are pinafores coming back? I'm always behind on the fashion trends.

TL;DR?
I always love these posts when they show up on page 5+. Um, yea.... go back and start at the beginning!
Someone who high tails it to the scene to fix whatever was going on himself with his big bad empowering concealed weapon sounds like someone who would love the chance to use it.
So she lied about him having a gun to "get you there faster" most likely KNOWING your H would bring his own gun to take care of business.
And you're now kicking back like "yup, my man was ready to rumble, don't mess with us!" instead of being concerned that your kid 1) made a million mistakes while panicking in an emergency last night, and 2) lied about something that could have gotten a person KILLED last night?!?!??
Jesus Christ, are all 3 of you related to George Zimmerman?
On next week's episode: Punkass kid is working at the Tastee-Freeze where DD and BFF happen to stop for a frozen treat after bedazzling the headrests of your property to say "Bitches be Rollin". When they realize that he's there, they will stay at the shop to eat instead of leaving immediately. Because what better way to make sure the dude who tried to choke you is on the up and up than to sit and stare at him while you eat ice cream? I dont want to give too many spoilers, but lets just say you wont be disappointed if you were hoping for drama.
Stay tuned for the next episode of "Mama Bear and Corporal Tex!"
What I'm sitting here thinking about is one of the many horrible "what ifs" - kid actually pulls a gun, so then her DH pulls his. they both start shooting, he kills the kid and then... what? Does she think he won't be arrested and charged w/ murder? Having a concealed carry permit doesn't mean you're above the law.
Relying on that as a reason to not call the cops... I just don't get it.
Yes, but she said he didn't HAVE his gun. She just casually mentioned that he had a permit to do it if he wanted to though. Yup, mentioned it for no real reason what-so-ever.
Not defending ANY of this mess, but just wanted to point out she said he never grabbed his gun once they got to the scene. As in it was never drawn. I think he did have it with him.

In my best Julie Andrews voice.....
Let's start at the very beginning. A very good place to start.
