I love it when H is off. After my epic sleep in, I parented for a whole hour before putting L down for a nap. L napped for 90 minutes while H went to get a few groceries and got the oil changed in my car. When L woke up, H took him out for a walk, to the post office, and to watch the traffic (L's favourite thing these days!). I'm sitting here by myself in a quiet house. Heaven!
DS is obsessed with traffic. Daycare is on a main road, so we stand there and watch the traffic go by each night before getting in the car to leave. His favorites are getting to see a BUSSSSSS or motorcycle.
DS and I go outside in the mornings and afternoons so he can see the kids get on/off the school bus. He loves it and they kids think its hilarious!
kdubs923 I think that's just normal life with a truck-obsessed kid. We've started scoping out easy places to take Bas where he can watch cars going by. Like, say, the patio at the pub in our neighbourhood. Looool.
Our favorite breakfast place has outdoor seating on a busy-ish road. We go once a weekend because it's the most relaxing meal we have all week. We eat in peace while DS has full view of all things that go vrroom!
Why does Curious George sometimes live in the city and sometimes live in the country? Is it their summer home or something? @supergreen. First half of the episode was donuts in the city, second half is grape juice on the rug in the country.
DD is fighting us on EVERYTHING right now. Such a PITA.
Correct. The Man With The Yellow Hat has an apartment in the city, and a house in the country. Him and George switch between homes really frequently, almost every weekend more or less. I should be embarrassed to be the MMM Curious George know-it-all, but considering that is literally ALL DS WANTS TO WATCH, I'm not surprised. I can seriously answer any question about that damn monkey.
I mentioned to you guys that I got in a fender bender, and insurance paid to replace my car seats. DD's new KeyFit arrived yesterday, so I washed the seat pad and headrest. I just put them back on, so her seat's all ready to go. The canopy has a new pop-out sunshade that her old KeyFit didn't have. Cool!
I've never washed any car seat parts before using.
DH and DS have very sensitive skin, so I always wash everything before first use to make sure there's no residue from the manufacturing process or whatever.

Are you asking logic questions about a monkey captured from the wild and living with a clueless dude who wears the same thing every day? lol
Ahem, it's not the same singular shirt and pants every day. He has a closet full of identical shirts and identical pants, which he washes. He returned some shorts once because they turned "saffron" in the wash. He "needs to know [his] shorts are yellow" !

@supergreen - I have way more knowledge of Curious George, Thomas the Train & Dinosaur Train than I ever expected to. I would only consider myself moderately informed on Daniel Tiger & Cailou.
My possibly flameful confession - it surprises me IRL when a parent says something like "oh my kids loves XYZ show but I don't know anything about it." I always think...but wait aren't you watching the show with your kid? Don't you want to know what your kid is watching/learning? (I'm not talking about a show that is a new interest like pugz described. I'm talking about when a kid is obsessed with XYZ but the parents don't have a clue)

I'm deleting pics off of my camera memory card, I still have 1400 pics & I've already deleted 700 or so...sometimes I think it would be easier to just buy a new memory card.
