I didn't even hear the storm. But my kid woke at 130 talking about bugs in her room. ;jenny1980 - what are these kids smoking? Maybe the rain woke her.
AW - I paid off 3 student loans yesterday and reduced my monthly bill by 1/3! There is still a decent chunk to chip away at, but knocking it down a bit feels so good.
Only 10 days until vacation! Work is crazy and my boss made me acting for her next week. I have a site visit today with crazy customer and ugh. It's also going to be like 103.
Also woke up to the storms it was wild. I was about a half a second from taking P into the safe spot in the house, especially since the internet went out and thus the drop cam was not working. Then it calmed down a bit. Very scary and restless night. My house is still super humid. Yuck.
DS had a horrible night. Took forever to go to sleep then was up every couple hours. Wasn't hungry but was like he would wake and then couldn't fall back asleep. I hope tonight is better. He has always been my good sleeper so this isn't like him.
I mentioned to you guys that I got in a fender bender, and insurance paid to replace my car seats. DD's new KeyFit arrived yesterday, so I washed the seat pad and headrest. I just put them back on, so her seat's all ready to go. The canopy has a new pop-out sunshade that her old KeyFit didn't have. Cool!
DS's new NextFit arrives today. I really hope I don't regret buying that over another Britax Marathon (his old seat). I've always said I didn't like the Britax, so I hope I made the right choice.
Another rough night with DS. He woke up crying around 9:30 so a little after 10 I picked him up out of his crib and brought him in bed with me. Unlike the previous night, he did not go right to sleep. After 2 hours of playing in bed, I put him back in his crib. He fell asleep and then I woke up at 6:30 to him crying. Brought him back in bed with me and he's sleeping again. I hate teething!
Also, I found out last week that my OBGYb is at Crystal level of selling Isagenix. gibbinator's post about MLMs reminded me. So I guess I need to find a new obgyn?
After yesterday's sleep thread we were determined to have M sleep in her crib all night. She woke up twice (once H put her back down and once I did <10 min each time) and slept! Though she did wake at 430 and H couldn't find her paci so he just brought her to bed. I was about to get up anyways. Progress!
I ended up taking the baby to the pedi late yesterday because he was needing his inhaler every 2-3 hours. They did a nebulizer treatment in the office and it was so much more effective than the spacer that he fights me to the death with. The doctor was at the same place I was, maybe we should start the steroids? He doesn't seem THAT bad, the albuterol works and works well.... Gah.
We decided to wait and see how he did overnight before giving him the prednisone and today he's pretty much normal without a treatment even. I think it's about time to start a preventative medicine though. We've had about an episode a month like this ever since he was hospitalized earlier this year.
I dunno what we're going to do today. Maybe I'll attempt to organize the playroom again. I did a complete organizational rehaul of it back in January and it's right back to being a huge disaster again. Time to purge...
I had an excellent time at the nkotb/nelly/t(l)c concert last night. But I got home close to 1 and had to pump, got to bed around 1:30, and DS woke up at 4:49 (not that the time was burned into my brain or anything, lol). I fed him and stuck him in the bouncer, then fell back to sleep on the couch for another hour. He conked out too, so I don't feel quite so negligent.
But I would like to state for the record how well "scrubs" has held up. I've been singing it all morning.
DS is obsessed with my parents. Fortunately Gigi is coming to visit today
My mom is one of those amazing grandmothers - she recently transformed the guest suite at their house into a "sandcastle room" for the grandkids including - hidden room you have the crawl through "water" to get to, glow in the dark painted constellations on the ceiling, castle awning over the doors and painted murals on the wall. It's out of control.
Meanwhile my in-laws went golfing with DH on Sunday a mile from our house and didn't think to stop in to say hi to DS - despite how much they are "gushing" grandparents to anyone who will listen.

Looks like we're going to buy a house! Our meeting with the mortgage broker went super well yesterday. We both have excellent credit and are considered the very lowest risk borrowers, level A or grade A or something like that.
We contacted a REA and have a meeting scheduled for next Monday to start looking at houses. Eeeek!
After my sabotaged sleep in day yesterday, H suggested we try again and this time I slept until 7:45. Hooray!
Oh, and I'm back doing C25K and it feels great. I even went out in the rain (before it got bad) last night to do my run.
Apparently the storm was crazy here but I slept through it and so did L and no damage so that's good.
We have entered the "Mama is chopped liver territory" over here. C woke up begging for daddy, who was already at work. When I finally got us in the car, he kept telling me "I want Debbie!" which is his daycare lady.

After much deliberation, we've decided to head east. That way I can still work for my old school board and don't have to start over again (seniority wise) somewhere new. We are looking at the town that starts with a B, 2 towns east of where your H grew up.
H just left for his trip. It's only 5:54AM here. We're all blubbering, tired messes. I just threw on the Carebears and I might let them eat pie for breakfast. Ugh.

rugbywife, we thought hard about it but we just can't afford a SFH in your city so heading east it is and this way I'll be able to keep working. And we can get a SFH in the mid 300s.
