How are you supposed to discipline kids when they are so hilarious? The other day I told L to watch her tone. She replied 'no it's okay for me to talk like this because I have a tummyache' My H and I died laughing.
Since we're talking about Amazon prime this week, I have a prime streaming recommendation. It's a British show called "Catastrophe" - sort of like "Knocked Up." It's raunchy but one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time! There are only 6 episodes but it's hilarious!

Cool sighting @this ! and see my rec for the show Catastrophe - knowing your sense of humor I think you'd love it.
One more random - 3 day weekend and DS had a fever all weekend. So we had to cancel 4th plans with our friends and shoe horn in house projects like move furniture and laying almost 2 tons of flagstones. We sure know how to party hard, eh?
Yesterday I caught the tail end of DS's sickness and spent a glorious sick day sleeping and watching terrible tv (including 50 shades....which is awful).
This famous guy came into my store last week. I have no idea who he is and I wanted to say 'are you on TV?' But that would have been weird. When he left, my coworker agreed that he was from television but we can't figure out who he is. It's annoying when you can't search for something on google. He is 50-60, southern accent, tall, looks like a cross between Jeff foxwortby and major dad. He hAs hair.
I witnessed a pedestrian-car accident this morning. I am still feeling a little shaky over it.
I pulled over because the pedestrian had like 6 people tending to her and the poor woman who hit her was standing all by herself, sobbing and trying to talk to the police dispatcher. I vividly remember my last accident and how shaken up I was, so I left DD in the car and got out and gave her a hug and took over talking to the police and called her boyfriend for her. It was absolutely not her fault at all and I felt so badly that no one was comforting her
My BFF I am staying with in Atlanta and I are on track to watch the entire first season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt before we leave tomorrow afternoon. She had never seen it and we just started last night.
With 4 kids 5 and under running around I consider this an accomplishment. A fucking awesome accomplishment.
Drop off went well! No tears! Though, he did tell me "don't leave me at Montessori" in the car. I promised we could go get ice cream tonight as a special treat for his first day and he told me "I don't want a special treat"
It's raining today, so I suspect we'll spend the day indoors. I'd like to at least get out of the house. Maybe we'll go to the "mall" type place.
When do people generally start pumping? Breastfeeding is going well and DW's supply seems good. At this point the pumping would just be to build a freezer stash.
So the talk about bucket list trips has resurfaced how annoyed and pissed I am at my mom. My dad's bucket list trip is a Safari. They were suppose to go a couple years ago but had to cancel because there was no way physically my mom could handle it. She has gotten worse since then. I told my dad I would go with him either this year or next. H is fine with this as he has all ready been on one. My mom threw an absolute fit and told my dad he couldn't go. So basically because she has physically allowed herself to deteriorate (bad choices, not doing physical therapy, etc.) my dad suffers. It would be amazing if we could take M but that would mean waiting at least 5 more years and my dad is all ready 76. It just makes me so mad. This is the one thing he really wants to do and they have traveled EVERYWHERE. My father has never denied her a trip.

baby names are hard, yo. We've got a boy first (I think) and nothing else. A few girl first contenders and no middle names at all. And I'm 28 weeks today! Gah!
chickens987 I saw your FB post about that. that sounds really scary. It was nice of you to help out the driver though.
I just texted her and told her vodka helps, LOL. She's a better person than I though and is going to work (she's a freaking summer camp counselor!!). Cops said she's not at fault, but they will be writing the pedestrian a ticket. Yikes.
Also, that weird thing happened to me at Starbucks this morning where someone paid for my coffee. I got a bargain, since the person behind me must have ordered just a coffee and it was $2.60. Sorry to the person in front of me for my $4.51 venti doubleshot, but thanks!
I am sitting outside my local coffee shop, sneaking my Starbucks sandwich while I drink coffee from inside. I want to support them, but I dislike their eggs.
We're going to Maryland this weekend because DH is in a wedding. I'm partially dreading it (OMG, I've never left DS for two nights - and have never been several hours away) and partially like, 'Hey, DH. That's too bad you have wedding duties on Saturday.... Imma just stay at the hotel pool before the wedding and probably take a nap between the wedding/reception. SEE YA LATER'
Additional downside to this wedding - I know NO ONE at this wedding other than the groom. And they're having a head table. So if DH is sitting up there, that leaves me sitting with...?

That's where you're mistaken, my friend. This is PURE upside, assuming there is an open bar.

Speaking of British shows, have you even seen "Miranda"?
I keep getting questions and random pressure to have a baby shower. My brothers girlfriend was bugging my mom about it this weekend. So my mom was trying to figure out a time when we could just have a "small one". Um, no.
It's my third kid. Yes I know it's my first girl, but I already have a tin of hand me down clothes from friends and really don't need any more. And I'm 32 weeks pregnant, delivered both my previous kids at 37 weeks. There is no time! And I've said from the beginning that I don't want a baby shower.
When I was on my way to Starbucks, I passed a family on a box trike. I love seeing other family bikers. The more of us on the roads the safer it becomes. Also, we went to music class with her kids and nanny. I met her at an event and introduced myself, because it is always weird to talk to kids if you know them but not their parents. She asked about my bike, and told me about this old box trike they had, and that her husband wanted to put the kids in it, but she wasn't sure. We talked about how they could adapt the bike safely, and I gave her some resources. It always makes me happy that she decided to do it.

No - is it funny? We also started watching "Mr. Robot" - the new show on USA. I'm ready to give up on True Detective this season. It's awful and IDGAF about any of the characters or plot lines.
We have a new person in our office who brought in the most amazing cupcakes this morning. Double chocolate with a chocolate European buttercream icing. OMG SO GOOD. She used to be a pastry chef/baker in a previous career.

Yes! I am 27 weeks today and we haven't even discussed! I am so stressed by it and H doesn't even care. Lol. I think I am going to come up with "our" options and then we will just decide in the hospital again.

Hilarious! We saw it on TV when we were in London back in 2010, and then searched online for it once we got home. It looks like it's only on YouTube, and the episodes are each split into three parts, but it's a funny show.
Miranda Hart was just in that "Spy" movie with Melissa McCarthy. She was funny but I was hoping she'd have a bigger role.
@supergreen where did you get that? I saw that there's a memory foam pillow featured in the Costco booklet, so I was going to buy that. I'm willing to try anything at this point.
Bed Bath & Beyond (where DH got his) or most mattresses stores. I think I got my current pillow from Mattress Discounters. I have no experience with other memory foam brands, but I highly recommend Tempurpedic. I really think it will help you. It erased my neck pain virtually overnight (heh) and I've had zero pain since. DH really likes his too.
Ugh, have a moving company coming over today to give us an estimate moving quote. The receptionist had an attitude with me yesterday, and the guy is 15 minutes late and counting today. Totally ready to just eliminate them on principle.
When do people generally start pumping? Breastfeeding is going well and DW's supply seems good. At this point the pumping would just be to build a freezer stash.
I think the general recommendation is 6ish weeks, after her supply has regulated. Any earlier and she could end up with oversupply.

Joining this club.... We're good for a girl, but if it's a boy.... well, I'm open to suggestions.
We decided on DS' name the night before my C-section, so I know we still have time. But at least at that point, we had a list of 3 or 4 that we both agreed upon and we each had a different #1 choice. This time, we've thrown out a name or two and thought, 'I guess that could work?' I don't have an actual favorite if you asked me to name a boy right now.
