humpforfree and countthestars, You are doing okay. Neither of my kids were named until the registrar came and demanded that we name them right that minute. They were both two days old.
DS is starting to space out his nighttime eating! He had 3 stretches of nearly four hours between feedings (start to start) last night. DH and I went to bed a little late so I didn't get as much sleep as I could have, but I hope this trend keeps up. Also DS slept in his own room in his crib for the first time overnight and that went well. I think he woke up DD at his first wakeup, but she went back to sleep.
Went to midwife today, she said baby is ROA, which now is making me paranoid, even though I really don't think it is a big deal. I wish baby would just switch to LOA so I wouldn't think about it. So if you had a ROA tell me about your awesome birth

Our new next door neighbor brought over cookies last night - it was really sweet! Her DD just turned 4 and would be a good playmate for DD and she is also PG. My only concern is they seem pretty crunchy...she's in a "crunchy moms" group and is planning to homeschool. So, I am wondering if her DD is vaccinated. I don't know how to ask this without sounding like a crazy.
Unreal: on Lifetime but surprisingly really good. If you like The Bachelor/ette, you'll LOVE this. It's a fictional show about the making of a Bachelor-like show called "Enchanted" that is basically exactly like TB. Really, really good. You can catch the first few episodes (I think there are 5) on Prime.
Catastrophe: on Amazon Prime. 6 half hour episodes, so not a huge buy-in time-wise. Think Knocked Up, but less stupid and more sophisticated. Hilarious.
This has been brought to your by hours and hours of pumping. YWIA.

"Oh, my daughter just got her 2 year shots and she's so fussy. What do YOU do when that happens? My usual tricks aren't working!"

Um - what does LOA and ROA mean?
I have a feeling it's something really obvious that I should know...
Holy shit a guy just got a double shot of vodka, downed it, and left. LOL
When I went on my trip in March we had an 8:30am flight. My sister and I bellied up to the bar at the gate and had screwdrivers while we waited to board. When we got on the plane, there was a woman behind us, about my age, who was completely and totally shitfaced at 8am. They made her get off of the plane after realizing it because she was super out of it. She told the flight attendant that she just had "a few drinks" to calm down because she caught her husband cheating the night before.

Then judge based on her response.
That is a good idea! Man, I hope she vaccinates. They have a great swing set
baby names are hard, yo. We've got a boy first (I think) and nothing else. A few girl first contenders and no middle names at all. And I'm 28 weeks today! Gah!
Yes! I am 27 weeks today and we haven't even discussed! I am so stressed by it and H doesn't even care. Lol. I think I am going to come up with "our" options and then we will just decide in the hospital again.
I'm 30.5 weeks and we only have the first name since we can't decide on the middle name.
Ugh, have a moving company coming over today to give us an estimate moving quote. The receptionist had an attitude with me yesterday, and the guy is 15 minutes late and counting today. Totally ready to just eliminate them on principle.
Sorry you are having so much trouble getting quotes! In Texas there are several moving companies owned &/or run by off duty fire fighters. They were the nicest to work with and had pretty good prices. Maybe there is something like that near you?

I don't know if it is obvious. I don't think OBs really talk about it that much? I am not entirely sure though.
LOA = left occiput anterior
ROA = right occuput anterior
LOA is optimal for labor. It means the baby's back is on your left side. ROA baby's back is at your right side. Supposedly there is a higher chance that babies in ROA can rotate to posterior during labor. I am really not overly worried because I mean it is my second time and I am pretty sure I have a wider pelvic opening, but still it is one of those seeds of doubt things that one tends to fixate on during pregnancy.

Standard ftm labor (12 hours, 2 hours of pushing) with a huge ass baby and only a 1st degree tear. I would be more than happy to share more details if it would help you =)

Baby is more on the right side and facing the left.
I got an email from my doctor this morning (well, from Kaiser) to remind me about an appointment to get a mammogram tomorrow morning. I didn't make an appointment for a mammogram. I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor to see if she scheduled this for me after my exam two weeks ago. I thought routine mammograms didn't start until 40?

Ha, thanks! I really am not that worried, it is just these stupid things that get in your head you know? Plus, I am pretty sure this baby will not be 11lbs Although weighing 5lbs+ more than DS would be impressive lol. Was the baby ROA the entire time (meaning all through labor)?
I realized on my way to work this morning that I actually have to work a full week of work this week (which for me is 4 10 hour days, Tues through Friday). Last week we were closed Friday, the week before that I took the afternoon off on Friday because we had a wedding to go to that evening, and the week before that I was on vacation. Sad face
I think we may have found a dog sitter to watch our dogs for 8 days... and they will cost less then $350! We usually spend $700-1000 on them for a week. So excited.
Ultrasound for my boxer is tomorrow. I am so nervous.

I get you.
DS was not ROA throughout labor since my midwife had me changing positions A LOT to make sure he was moving down in a good position. I remember her having me on all fours at several points and twice we did the "lay on your right side for a few minutes and then switch to the left".

Sorry this is turning into a book but all 4 of mine have been right side oriented and DD2 was also posterior. Labors were fine but DS1 and DD2 were augmented with pitocin (DS1 my water broke and after 24 hours only at 3 cm so augmented and with DD1 after 20 hours of labor augmented). DS2 and DD2 were straight inductions because my body just doesn't go into labor well on its own and even with right orientation labors were easy but I did have epidurals with all 4.
I wouldn't worry too much since you had an easy labor with DS1.

. I never watch the Bachelor/ette, so I was surprised by how much I like this. My husband told me this morning that it got renewed for a second season, so I'm wondering if it'll be a new season of Enchanted or if they'll just keep going with this batch.

Good deal on the sitting! My dad usually watches ours, but I just met with a DogVacay sitter last night and we're going to use her for our trip. $560 for 8 days But still cheaper than boarding.
Our next door neighbors are packing up and moving this week. DH was outside cutting the grass and the neighbor offered him a bunch of stuff they can't move, like gas and oil mixtures for the lawnmower etc. Great, things we can certainly use and they're happy to be rid of.
They also had a large box of random sports equipment that DH gleefully accepted as well. So now, among several baseball gloves and random balls, I have a size 8 pair of ice skates (I'm a 9, DH's answer, I can squeeze into them or maybe DD will be a size 8 someday! Also, I don't ice skate...)
This is how hoarding starts, doesn't it? DH and his cluttering tendencies, drives me insane. I think I'm just going to drop it all off at good will this week before he can miss it.

karinothing I had to google, since I'd never heard of LOA or ROA, but with DD, I had anterior placenta, and it was more on my left side, so I only ever felt the baby on my right. Her butt was certainly always over on my right side, so I think she was what you are describing, if I'm following this correctly. Anyway, her birth was just fine. She did have some heart decels, so I was on oxygen during pushing, but she was out in 15 min and was fine.

We are likely going to use someone from Rover. Never heard of the site before but it gets good reviews everywhere I looked and they run background checks on their people. We'll see. But yeah, it's expensive!!

Somehow the baby keeps inching up my chest while she's in the Moby, and I have to pull her back down. Weirdo baby.
My mom is mopping our floors right now. I feel like I'm a huge disappointment to her as a housekeeper. She's doing a zillion percent better job than I do.
