stop it. The lady who left her multiple children in the hot car during an 'interview' had $300k raised and given to her. She gave it to her ex boyfriend for recording studio time to become a rapper. She spent all of it, despite being told repeatedly to put some of it in accounts for the children. i think she's in jail now. She was a scammer then and a scammer now. That story is not comparable to this one.
Links, pls.
I can't believe you don't remember the monster discussion about this!
If she was a black woman, she'd have been in jail by now. Remember the woman who left the baby in the car during her interview? Wasn't that in Arizona as well? Cherish is white and therefore she's an exhausted new mom who needs a break and won't be looked at too hard. Right or wrong I don't know, but white privilege is strong here.

Oh. So employment rates for minority single mothers are suddenly at parity with their white counterparts? Everything from the abysmal unemployment rates to the lack of childcare contributed to a mother being desperate enough to take a job interview that she would leave her kids in a hot car. Those factors plus the arrest rates of black people compared to white people for the same crimes all show a different story than the one you're seeing.
dude we're not talking about unemployment rates or anything else except: 1. A woman decided to leave her 2 yr old and 6 month old in a hot car in Arizona for an hour, risking death 2. A woman accidentally left her newborn in the infant carrier in the grocery cart, while getting her other 3 young children in.
Both were charged. The first woman received $116,000 and was offered all charges to be dropped if she just put a small amount in an account for the kids. She refused multiple times and chose probation instead.
"Dude". There are absolutely other factors here that we ARE and have been talking about for months now. Keep up or get out.
And let's point out the glaring inconsistencies in those charges, while we're at it.
Shanesha Taylor was charged with two counts of felony child abuse. Cherish Peterson has been charged with one count of misdemeanor child endangerment.
The money and what she did with it is fairly irrelevant, since, you know, she never should have been in that situation to start with.

I have a lot more questions based on the limiting information in this article, but my initial reaction based on the info at hand, is that being 28 and having four kids, including an infant, does NOT mean you get a pass for the choices you make. I do think she deserves our compassion and understanding, but the decisions and mistakes we make have consequences. We teach our kids that, right? Why should she not be subject to the potential consequences of her actions, however remorseful she is? I am not equipped to make that judgment call with the information at hand, but I would certainly be asking more questions, seeking video, etc.
Initially I wonder why she didn't have to put her cart away? Why does parking at the front prevent the need to do that? Did she just leave it on the sidewalk? If so, was she in the fire lane, another problem? You either return the cart to a cart bin or inside the store, right? Lots of questions...

the charges sound absolutely consistent with what both mothers have done. Taylor's charges also would have been dropped had she just put a mere 10% of that money into an account for her kids to use for school supplies and clothes as they got older. That is quite generous. Also, there is no excuse for leaving your babies in a hot arizona car for an hour. Shes lucky they didn't die a horrific death. That was not her only option in life.

And what were her other options? Skip the job interview and remain homeless?
