I do not shower daily, either. I can either sleep a little more, work a little more, cook something from scratch, get some errands done, do laundry, clean up or do some exercise on any given day. I can not do all of these things on the same day. Showering is the easiest thing to sacrifice unless I work out. Then I do prioritize showering!
The only thing I do consistently every day is feed my children and keep them alive, and even then, Some of those duties get outsourced.

I posted that those things are done biweekly but that's only because we have a cleaning service. I sweep the floors in the kitchen/dining room a couple times a week but mostly because they are dark hardwoods and show everything.
If I was left to my own devices, these things would likely be done bi-monthly. I love our cleaning lady.
Once in a while, someone says it's gross when people pip and say "sorry about the mess" instead of just cleaning up first. I assume that's about me. Lol.
I'm sure people thought this about me and my post today. I thought about not posting the pic at all.
That picture looks like my house on a good day. It is fine.
I am right there with you countthestars. My house gets cleaned every other week because I have a cleaning lady. It is vacuumed downstairs daily because my mother does it most days.
I don't even shower every day becausr I wfh and often don't have time.
I shower daily, but I haven't cooked a real dinner more than 3 times in the past two years. Ha! (We do too much take-out, I eat a lot of salads or breakfast for dinner, and my H fixes his own simple meals or eats at work.)
And my house looks great, because we pay someone else to clean it.
I am the opposite of a domestic goddess. Oh, well!
Also, today I cleaned my bathroom because it had not been done.... in a while. I did this in honor of the speech therapist coming over. And damn was I glad I did it when the first thing she asked was whether she could use my bathroom!

I opened the post, realized that my reply to at least one of the questions would be "lol," and exited the post.
I shower every other day. Someday I'll start working out again and then shower every day out of necessity, but right now? I don't get that dirty sitting at my desk, and I like sleep more than I like showering.
LOL, I posted an IG photo of C with a cluttered sofa table behind her and my husband's jeans on the bannister, as he had removed them to put on basketball shorts and hadn't even taken them upstairs to put them away. I had to forgo an even cuter pic of her because the jeans were just too obvious and weird.
You know how often I clean my toilets? When the little blue Scrubbing Bubbles gel thing dissolves/the toilet starts getting mildew streaks/there's a pee dribble under the seat/someone is coming over.
I mean really.
I liked it because I.feel the same way. Our house is neat, just dirty. I stopped reading that after the first page.
This is me 100%! I'm content if the dinner dishes are done and the toy piles are contained. Anything else gets a halfhearted attempt during weekend nap time if I feel like it.

I've given up daily showers. My stylist convinced me to try washing my hair once a week and it's gone surprisingly well. It's different, but not bad. Obviously I soap the body up more than once a week but sleep is winning around here more days than not.
I should clarify, I do shower every day, or every other day if I hit snooze too much in the morning. Cleaning stuff is relegated to halfhearted attempts during weekend nap times!

When I had long hair I trained my hair to only be washed twice a week. It's really good for your hair and scalp. Now that it's in a pixie I have to wash it every other day.
Other than vacuuming, everything else is cleaned when it looks real bad or I know someone is coming over.
Making the bed is a joke.
I shower about twice a week. Maybe 3 times, more only if its really hot out, or I worked out. Let's be real though, I don't really work out much either.
Me too! There was a post quite a while ago, something about "who are these moms that have NB's yet can't shower everyday? It's not hard!" I remember thinking um yeah sure.... Now trying to shower with a toddler is worse, she either screams if I lock the door otherwise can't understand why the curtain is there so it must be moved and everything gets wet. And by the time she goes to bed, I'm exhausted. If I shower while she naps, it's a guarantee she will be up screaming by the time I get out. I can't win!

Reading that post convinces me that we are dirty people, because if we only did toilets or showers biweekly or monthly, it would be nasty. Also, I have a 6.5 year old boy and I don't know what goes on when he pees, but pee always ends up everywhere in the bathroom he regularly uses.
