I would really like to build our dining table by Christmas since I want to have a neighborhood open house. Want to buy the chairs to go with it too. Also, finish tiling bathroom- we already have the tile, just need to buy the glass shower door & the master bathroom will be done.
Come again?! Do you have a pic of what you're doing?
Lol not really. I'm going to do a wood top, kind of rustic and I've got modern metal legs to go on it. The table is going to be 10' long, so much cheaper to build than buy.

we're hoping to do a major renovation in the next year or so. Turning our 2 bed 1 bath cape into 3 bed 2 bath non-cape the estimates are coming in very high though so I'm not sure when we'll be able to do it.

Iiiiiinteresting. That is exactly what we want (except not 10'). I'd love to know what you end up spending (if you don't mind sharing) and then maybe we can hire you. You know, in your free time
We are taking the older three kids to Disneyland on 11/4. We will drive down and back (2ish hours each way) the same day so we won't have to pay for a hotel but it will still be pricey.
Our tropical vacay in January. TBD location, but we're planning on two weeks so it won't be cheap really, but I am thrilled. Last family trip as a trio!!!
It's so exciting to see all the people buying homes, especially first time home-owners! Yes, it can be a PITA when things go wrong, but moreover, I love owning!!!
Also, all the renos sound exhausting but I envision gorgeous "after" photos…!

A 2 car garage.
In the spring we plan to knock down our dilapidated one car garage, take down the 50+ year old tree that is directly behind said garage (it was struck by lightning and needs to come down - cue tears), redoing our concrete driveway, and building a 2 car garage.
We've been planning and talking about doing this since we moved in 10 years ago. I'm really excited for it.
We had a huge hail storm and are currently paying to replace the roof, repaint the house, powerwash and stain the deck, and replace 4 garage doors, as well as fix/paint some drywall in two rooms, since there was a bit of a leak. While they're at it, we're upgrading the garage doors and changing the house paint color, as well as having them fix some rotten boards on the deck. Fortunately, all but about $3000 of that is covered by insurance (deductible and the extras we're doing). Still a large chunk of change, but it was stuff that was on the eventual to do list anyway.
Next year after we sell the rental house we are doing a big remodel of the first floor - moving an entrance, adding a few large windows, probably demo at least one bathroom. $$$$

We just bought a house (we closed on 9/28) & then all new appliances (except the stove).. Oh, and a zero-turn lawn mower.. good lord. We spent 9k yesterday.. ::sob::
Well damn....changing my answer already. We decided today to get a new range since it's the last appliance in our kitchen that was from previous owner & it's a piece of crap. Soo....not exciting.
Gutting and adding onto our house or tearing it down and rebuilding on the lot. Whatever the contractors and architect think will be cheaper based on our requirements.
