No, but I'm very close to Houston. I'm a fairweather fan. I'm actually a big fan of the former Oilers, may they RIP. And I dislike the Cowboys. DH loves the Cowboys, so Sundays can be interesting.
A minor one. I don't follow sports at all, nor does H. We pay just enough attention to chat with coworkers, but not in specifics. "Man, how about that Local Sports Team!"
We do. It's the Colts. I care a little and have been to a couple games. The year we won the super bowl was so much fun. I mostly like football just because there's always something to do with friends and a ton of food.
My H is from Cincinnati and has been a Bengals fan since birth. It's a huge deal in his family. He has season tickets and he goes home for every home game. He's missed maybe 4 home games total since he started going with his dad when he was 12.

Yes, we have a NFL team, and no we don't care about the game itself.
We do care about the impact on our neighborhood during game days. We live less than a mile from the stadium, so we don't leave the house by car, and we plan on dinner at home.
A's PTO rents out parking spots at the school and it is a huge easy fund raiser for the school, so that is nice.
We have a franchise here and it seems to be mainly fair weather fans. Games are blacked out a lot when the team isn't doing well. My parents are HUGE fans of another team in the same division and my husband's family is casual fans of yet another team in the same division, so I have never gotten into it. If given the opportunity I will definitely vote down any public funding of new stadiums (I think the city is still paying off the last one though).
Pretty sure the NFL lifted the blackout rules this season, just FYI. So all games will be on TV in the local market.
We have a team, it's a big thing here, and pretty much everyone is at least a casual fan. I don't go to many games, but I enjoy getting together with friends and family for the games. It's fun to socialize and eat good food.
DD goes to school in the town where the Patriots play. 'Nuff said
I used to be a hard core fan, but after all the nonsense last year (I'm talking serious stuff like Ray Rice) I've decided I'm done. I haven't watched a game this year. I used to listen to sports talk radio, but the persecution complex now is ridiculous
I don't really care about the bengals at all. I HATE Mike Brown and wish he would have just moved the team years ago. Maybe when he's out I'll root more for the bengals but he's the owner.. So.
DH is a Browns fan but really, he prefers watching college football infinitely more. Funny, we are going to Cleveland next week for the game but it's more to spend time with the people and we just happen to all be going to the game.
You couldn't pay me to go to a NFL game though. I've only been twice, but each time I was grossed out by the level of drunkenness, excessive swearing, and overall rudeness & trashiness.
Note- I don't think all fans are trashy. But in my limited experience I was lpuked on by a random and called "sweet tits" numerous times.
DH and I were given Browns/bengals tickets as a wedding gift and it totally sucked! He was pouting because his team was losing, I was newly pregnant and couldn't drink and the smells at tailgate about killed me. And like shortstax it was gross, just totally gross how drunk everyone was and I like getting drunk! But this was excessive. I can't believe people spend so much $$$$ and get wasted to the point they can no way enjoy it. However, this might just be the bengals. SIL and her family are colts season ticket holders and it seems a lot less ridiculous.
I don't think I'd ever take a child to a bengals game. Team baseball or college football in this town for life.
Yep, we have season tickets to the Seahawks. And if we lived in my hometown (Indianapolis) we'd have tickets for the Colts too. Instead, we have NFL Sunday Ticket (but negotiated for free!) so we can watch them .
Yes and yes. While I prefer to watch games at home I am excited to go to one this year at the college stadium while our new stadium is being built. We also always go to Chicago to see friends, tailgate and go to the game. Not Chicago fans. Go Vikings!
I grew up in Dallas as a huge Cowboys fan. We regularly had box seats. However, the persona that is Jerry Jones and the mess that is Tony Romo and Jason Garrett has soiled my love for the Cowboys. I really like JJ Watt so that's been luring me to follow the Texans.
I went to the same college as Tony Romo. He was a hot mess then too.
