Yes, the Chargers. I don't care at all about football and never watch; neither does DH although he'll turn on a game occasionally. I think our team might be moving up to LA? I don't even pay enough attention to know for sure.
Yes, but I don't follow the NFL that closely. I followed them when we first moved up here, and then all the stuff with Adrian Peterson happened and it sort of soured me on them.

I'm in NJ, so we have two teams. I don't notice or care that they exist at all. I'd never consider going to a game and have never watched either team on TV. I'm not into sports at all. H isn't a sports fan either, so the fact that teams exist barely registers with us. It pisses me off when tax dollars are wasted on professional sports.
Since it was mentioned in the OP, I'm 500% against using general taxpayer dollars to build or renovate stadiums in general and football stadiums in particular. They're only used 10 days a year!
In practice the devil is always in the details on financing. What percentage of the costs come from the league/owners, what's being taxed (tickets, parking,), was anything sold off/privatized to get the deal done, etc.

yes, but we may be losing it. I grew up in a different city so I'm not a huge fan, haven't been to a game (ticket prices are $$$!) but I'd definitely be sad to see them go (esp since they actually win games and its just hard to be a skins fan these days).

Yes we do. We try to be fans because it's our home team, but since we're not from here we have our own other team we cheer for. The only thing we don't have is MLB and we. Will always cheer for the STL Louis cards first!
We live about 30 minutes from Foxborough, which is home to the Patriots. I'm not really a football fan, but I do consider myself a marginal Pats fan. (I realize that qualifies as an unpopular opinion around here!) It's tough to live in this area and not give a hoot about sports; I find the sports radio hosts entertaining, so I tend to listen to them when I'm not listening to NPR, so I passively collect some info about the Pats, Sox, Celtics, and Bruins.
Also, my H is a rabid fan. We go to one game every year, and I find it much easier to get into it there than I do at home. In the past, I would watch the game with him while multitasking, which was fun and good for our relationship in a weird way. But we don't let E watch any TV yet, so I didn't watch at all last year and won't this year. It's actually a sore spot now, because my H thinks he's being abused if he doesn't get to watch the game, and I feel like he's being kind of selfish if he disappears to watch TV while I do all the parenting.
When E is older and can actually play with friend' children when we all get together, I'll enjoy it more again, because we'll have people over or go out for more games.
My hometown does but we live an hour away now. I find football more boring than any other sport but Bills fans are pretty diehard from my observations, despite their suckage since like, the mid-90s.

Yes and I would be very happy if they did well. It's been years since we have had something to be excited about football wise. We are building a huge new stadium right now.
We have two CFL teams close by if that counts lol. H is a die hard fan of one of the teams.
My parents are huuuuuge Tiger Cats fans. I guess I technically am too since I was born in the Hammer but I haven't been to a game in probably a decade.
My h lhates living in ti cat territory. His whole family are big Argos fans.
Not my actual city/state, but within a 30 minute drive, yes. We are fans and have been to a bunch of games.
I will say, I just try to enjoy watching without getting overly invested. DH falls more towards the 'mope around the rest of the afternoon if his sports team doesn't do well', and I just can't relate.

My home team is the Steelers, and I care very little. It is fun when they win the Superbowl, but day to day it's annoying.
I often grocery shop during games.
I have been to a few games. H's best friend had season tickets for many years. He is related to one of the ownership children.
He recently sold the seat licenses for $10k and tickets are $200 each on top. His seats had indoor club access which was nice. I only attend games in warm weather.
No (obv) but the closest baseball team is killing it this year apparently and OMG apparently everyone I know has alllllllways been a Toronto fan. Lolol.

I no longer live in metro Detroit, but did for most of my life. And we have the lions. And I have been consistently disappointed by the lions my whole life. LOL

No. The lack of professional sports is one of the downsides of living here.
We used to live in Oakland and are bigger baseball (A's) and basketball (Warriors) fans, but I'm pretty sure H decided I was the one when I woke him up to watch the Raiders one morning early in our courtship.
No team here. We live about the same distance from about 5 teams, so there's a decent mix of fans. It's fun to live in a dedicated area, but it's also fun to live in an area with a good mix of fans from rivaling teams!

Yes- I'm a huge Saints fan as is everyone within a 100 mile radius, although it can be a pretty abusive relationship. I married a man that doesn't care about sports. I try to keep that fact from my friends and family lol.
Yes. Neither of us like sports it doesn't matter to us. I do hate how purple has been sort of ruined; now when I wear it people try to talk to me about football.

Yes, we have two but I don't live in East Rutherford, New Jersey if you want to get super technical. At some point we need to seriously consider kicking the Jets out though because they are terrible and don't deserve to play in the same stadium in which the Giants play.
You can probably tell from my first paragraph that yes, I care deeply.
Since it was mentioned in the OP, I'm 500% against using general taxpayer dollars to build or renovate stadiums in general and football stadiums in particular. They're only used 10 days a year!

Actually, most of those stadiums are used a lot more often than that for concerts, community events, and other sporting events. Most are probably used 100 days a year or so. And the people who attend those events also buy dinner, pay for parking, buy stuff, etc. it can be a huge economic boost to the area. So I can see some taxpayer money being used.
Yes. And I enjoy it. DH and i try to make it to one game a year and we might host a party at our house too. We're not rabid fans but enjoy it for what it is.
