The Eagles are the local team. I couldn't possibly care less, but my H loves them. In fact, he is at the game now. I root for them to win I guess, because if they do our local DD's give free coffee the next day.

We live about 30/45 minutes from both Baltimore and DC, so yes, two teams. We don't particularly care about either. College football is much more of a deal to us than nfl.

The biggest city near us has just a pro basketball team. But we are about 2 hours away from San Francisco. So we are 49er fans. Although, not expecting much more than 4 wins this season. The team pretty much self distrusted in the off season with firing almost all the coaching staff and a lot of the players jumped ship too.
But the new stadium is anazing. My BFF got married in one of the box suites last year. It was such a fun day.

We get together almost every football Sunday with about 4 other couples to watch games at each others houses. We are there now. And most of us have kids around the same age, so it works out really well.
I grew up near Buffalo, and have been a Bills fan all my life. DH grew up in Pennsylvania is somehow is a Bills fan as well. We live about 1.5 hours from the Bills stadium, but we have season tickets and go to almost every home game. We have a blast and love it, even when they suck.
Nope. I don't care. We have a big stadium for college football that's walking distance from my house though. I don't care much about that either, but it is kind of fun when there's a big game and everyone is walking around in colors and all excited. Our basketball team is better though and the whole town gets into March Madness when we're in it, which is fun.
Isn't there always a rumor about your team moving to Toronto or did I make that up? Or we are getting our own nfl team, something like that?
They had been saying that for years. Now that we have a new owner it looks like the Bills aren't going anywhere for a long time (hopefully!)
I don't live in Buffalo but I would hate for the sports fans I consider to be the most loyal to their two pro teams in all of sports to lose one of those teams. That would be a darn shame. But yeah, it won't happen.
Yes. We are transplants here and while I passively root for our local team, I don't really care that much. I'm much more of a fan of my home town team.

Plus then there wouldn't be any NY teams at all. :-)
DD goes to school in the town where the Patriots play. 'Nuff said
I used to be a hard core fan, but after all the nonsense last year (I'm talking serious stuff like Ray Rice) I've decided I'm done. I haven't watched a game this year. I used to listen to sports talk radio, but the persecution complex now is ridiculous
And it had huge traction because of how bad the Sox were this year. I can't hardly listen to it either

No but we are not far from buffalo. I don't care about football, but I can appreciate Bills fans, since my family is all Cleveland sports fans. I only care about MLB and my college men's basketball team.
I live in northern MA, so not near but still in Pats territory. I had a temp job in college checking IDs at the old stadium. It was a strange set up and so so cold. But it paid well enough. They're there. They play. It was better in college (senior year was 01-02) when it was a thing before they became some larger than life "evil empire"-esque monolith.
Not yet I hate football, so I didn't care that we were team less. Now we may get three.
H says it's not going to happen, and he is super smart about football. There is no way the NFL will have more than 32 teams and 24 out of 32 team owners would have to vote for one team to relocate. At least 9 owners have said they would vote against the Rams and the Chargers moving to LA. The Raiders have a solid foundafion in Oakland now so that's not happening either. Everyone talks about the Jaguars moving but I think they prefer to be a shitty team where no one is paying attention lol.
I would happily send you guys the Jets. They are a great team!
My hometown has the best NFL team, the Packers. Its also the smallest city to have any professional team of any sport. I now live in the city of our biggest rival, Chicago.

Yes and yes. We are huge Browns fans even though they are consistently terrible. Football (NFL) is the only sport I care about. I can't get into college football.
yes. I used to care (and am from a pretty intense football family, my dad has season tickets), but the nfl is so ridiculous I refuse to participate. I will not watch or attend a game.
No team in our state - people here tend to split between four neighboring state teams.
I've always been a Bears fan, but I don't care enough to follow how they're doing - just enough that if they made it to the playoffs or Super Bowl, I'd be pretty pumped, and if I had a solid opportunity to be in town and go to a game with decent seats, I would.

I grew up in PA, but we were closer to Buffalo than to philly or Pittsburg. There was a pretty even distribution of fans between the three teams, with an occasional Giants/Jets fan thrown in. my dad is a diehard Bills fan.
I'm two hours away from Cincinnati and Cleveland and three hours away from Pittsburgh, so the city has pretty big fan bases for the Bengals, Browns, and Steelers. Thanks to my Cincinnati roots I'm a Bengals fan, but married to a lifelong Browns fan. This makes some Sundays super fun in my house

i wouldn't be so sure about the Raiders. the NFL doesn't have a team in the 2nd largest tv market in the country. for years al davis made DAMN SURE that NO ONE could put a team in LA (he sued the NFL in court and won the exclusive rights to football in LA) but with al gone anyone could put a team there with enough ownership approval.
the Raiders are far from happy with their stadium situation in Oakland and the city of Oakland and Alameda County are in no rush to give either the Raiders OR the A's the individual stadiums they want. the Raiders are the only team that has to SHARE a stadium :/ the Raiders have just as large a fan base in LA as they do in Oakland. so if they were to jump ship to LA, lots of fans would be welcoming them back with open arms. it should be interesting to see how it all plays out. the Raiders, i think, have a short term lease so anything goes and they could easily go south.
