So many hugs water*drop. I remember the period around 6 months being especially crappy sleep wise and it really took a toll on me. It's like you are mentally prepared for sleep deprivation for the first three months or so, then the 4MW hits and you think it has to start getting better soon. Then you hit 6 months and the adrenaline has worn off and you're just running on fumes. It seems like every other baby the same age (and even younger!) is sleeping better than yours and you start to think that you'll never sleep decently again. It was a dark time for me. I really hope you start to get in some decent stretches very, very soon.
Bunco with my MOPs group last night was so much fun! It's such an easy game and was just a blast to learn and hang out with more people and get to know them since you rotate every round.

My husband offered to get up with B today so I could sleep in a bit. Of course, B was cranky and screamed his head off for half an hour downstairs before I gave up and just got up. But even with that, I still slept 2 hours later than I do during the week AND there's always naptime later, so yay.
I have a whole list of things I want to do today, but I haven't done anything so far except run out to get breakfast and futz on the interwebs. And I don't see that changing any time soon. Oh well.
I am trying not to kill DH. We have a ton of leaves to clean up so I am doing my best to help, but obviously I can't do as much as I normally would. I took a break after he snapped at me and told me to rest and then got pissed that I wasn't jumping up to help him with a tantruming toddler.
E is sleeping in the pack and play in our bedroom this weekend since H is gone hunting. I woke up this morning and looked over and he's sitting up staring at me. He hasn't done that before! Thinking we need to take the bassinet part out and lower the crib more..
The OK to wake clock might have been too successful? I turned it off for the weekend. Since his usual 6:45 wake-up he's stood up twice and then laid back down.
Godparents already made plans for the day, so now we have nothing on the calendar.
J has his first gymnastics/tumbling class today. I really hope he likes it. If anything, it will be a good way to get some energy out come the cold winter months.
My kids woke up around 6:30, but are fairly self sufficient these days. My husband turned on the TV for M and A played games on my computer. Then they played lego for a while. My husband made coffee and then came back to bed. I kept sleeping. When I finally checked my clock it was 9 and we were late for soccer. whoops.
Heading down to the beach for less then 24 hours and it is raining. But we told friends they can use it next weekend and I couldn't remember what state we left the house in so going to make sure it is clean. We love being here and are going to check out a new wood burning pizza place tonight for dinner so not for nothing m. H is going to hit up a movie at nap time and I plan to get a good long workout in. Yeah for YouTube - just hope it doesn't kill me.
Had a blast last night and I love holiday season in my city so we all ready tentatively made plans to get together for one of the holiday events.
Thinking of going off BCP and substituting the goalie for the next month. But the time to decide is, literally, now and that makes me feel all panicky even though I've felt pretty confident in this idea.
After a five day work trip I came home to a baby who sleeps in his crib and only gets up once or twice. I told DH he did such a great job he gets to stay on baby duty another week (he's off work for two weeks).
It's DS1's birthday and he wore his birthday crown to Panera this morning and Costco. Then was all annoyed that people kept wishing him a happy birthday. We are about to go to his super hero party that I threw money at so I would only have to show up with a cake. His best friend's birthday party is this afternoon. Tonight will be a cake fueled debacle.
J had his first tantrum in public last night. We had a nice dinner out and were about to leave the restaurant when he had a total meltdown. H picked him up off the floor and took him kicking and screaming out of the restaurant and then 4 blocks to the car. When we got to the car I wasn't anticipating the strength of a 2 year old and when he pushed off the side of the car with his feet I fell backwards with him onto the crowded sidewalk. After another 10 minutes of screaming and thrashing all of a sudden it's like a switch turned off and he calmly crawled into his car seat and let me buckle him in and was a happy kid the rest of the night. I don't get it.
In a week and a half I have to go back to work and it's a 5 day conference OOT. My mom is coming with me and bringing DD. But now I'm realizing that DD only takes long naps if she's in the swing or being held, crib naps don't go over very well here. I'm being irrationally stressed out about this and seriously debating packing up the swing and bringing it with us.
Otherwise I feel like it'll be cat naps all day long and then she'll be a cranky mess and not sleep as well as she does at night.
Ugh! I just really don't want to go back to work at all this time around!

The FB pics were so cute!! J has been on the bottom of the PnP since he started rolling and hit the weight limit. He would immediately launch himself over the side if we tried a bassinet height now. I'm jealous that yours happily stay put!

I should probably check the weight limit. I totally didn't even think of that. Oops! But yeah, he just sat there which was nice. He doesn't even pull himself up in his crib really. Just enough to gnaw on the rail but not actually standing. And he only did that when we sat him in there. Now that he figured out how to sit though who knows what he's going to do!
I'm hosting my sister's bridal shower tomorrow. Someone asked if they could bring an older child, I said yes and paid $36 per head for that kid's food, and now they're not coming.

If your Mom is coming she will probably hold her for five hours straight and snuggle.
I wouldn't be too worried.
Are you taking a stroller. DS was a swing only sleeper for a long time, but the stroller was about the same difference to him.
