I've been at my PCP's office waiting for 90+ minutes to be seen. I am so mad. DH switched to a different practice last month and I'm officially following suit. This is ridiculous. JUST TELL ME IF I HAVE PINK EYE. And now I've missed a feeding so I will have to pump when I get home.
ETA pretty sure the man in the room next to me is dying. Worst cough ever.
We had family pics this morning, which reminded me why we don't do them. DS hated it, but we managed to bribe him with Smarties and a nearby wheelbarrow to oooh and aaah over so he'd stop sobbing. DD was very cooperative, so she might be the star of the family Christmas card this year.
We celebrated out failed photo shoot with a massive amount of donuts at a nearby bakery.
My mom and 13 year old niece came down this morning. They took DD to her ECFE class and I got the first coat of paint on her new room. I absolutely love the color!!! I searched forever for the perfect one and I'm pretty sure I found it. I can't wait for it all to come together. I'll do the second coat tomorrow or some night this week. Now I need to take a shower and make lunch for when they get back. Then this afternoon we'll all take naps and tonight we're going to a craft fair boutique thing. Then they're sleeping over. Since DH is gone hunting all weekend it's just girls!

The top floor of my house is so clean! I even cleaned the baseboards, windowsills, and inside of the garbage cans. My shower is sparkling and mirrors are free of finger prints! I'm going to jump in my sparkling, clean shower then heading out for lunch and shopping alone!
C and I ventured out with plans to get some shopping done, but apparently we left the house before all the stores open. So we had Panera breakfast and then met up with cincodemayo to check out a drop-in ECFE class.
Before we left this morning C found his dinosaur lunch bag and insisted on packing a lunch. So we brought it with us and are now home eating from it before nap. At least I didn't have to cook anything for lunch?

Got the bathroom painted and H had a successful morning with two kids on his own. E even took a bottle for him! She refused the last one we tried, of course the one she took was the bottle that came with the Spectra- not one I can easily buy more of in the store. I'm debating between chilling on the sofa more & possibly napping, and working on Lane's kid table and chairs that I'm "hacking."

DS1 threw his hands up at breakfast and exclaimed "What the hell, Dada?!" DH laughed so hard he almost choked on his food. So yeah. Quality parenting going on over here as usual.
MIL showed up at 6:45 this morning. Which was about 15 minutes after I fell back asleep after a crappy night with DD. She was so loud when she got here she woke me up. I guess DH told her it was fine to come this early, he is freaking clueless sometimes.
In what world is it ever OK to show up for a visit a 6:45 AM unless you have somewhere to be?
DH flies home shortly (he's left for the airport). So it's the kids and I, at the Florida condo, for 3 weeks. My Inlaws are next door so I DO have some help but I'm definitely sadder than I expected about his leaving.
It's so hard to do stuff like the beach and the pool on your own. I took the kids grocery shopping this morning and even that was an adventure. And not just because of the crazy array of brands in U.s. Grocery stores. Lol.
J has his first gymnastics/tumbling class today. I really hope he likes it. If anything, it will be a good way to get some energy out come the cold winter months.
I'm thinking of signing my 3.5 year old up for gymnastics when we go back tocanada for basically the same reason.
You may remember that my sister and her BF bought the house next door to us. Both of us have 1/2 acre lots. This summer, sister's BF and H sort of split the yard work in that H did the big back yards with the riding lawnmower and sister's BF would cut small front yards with the push mower. Basically H's portion of the work took several hours a week and sister's BF was done in short order and never helped with anything additional.
Before H went out of town he spent about 4 hours on Thursday taking care of the leaves in the back yards. He talked to sister's BF about doing the front. Apparently that day sister's BF did just their front yard, said he was tired and went in. H basically told him that our front yard better be done by the time he gets home Sunday since H spent all this extra time doing their back yard.
I just put C down for a nap and was going to nap myself. Literally as I laid down, sister's BF shows up in my front yard with the rake. Fine, no biggie. Until he raked for 3 minutes, decided that was too much work, and returned with the leafblower. FML. I HATE the sound of a leafblower and apparently won't be getting a nap today. Thankfully C is sleeping through it. But if I ask him to stop he'll probably tell me this is the only time he has to do it. Grr.

M just dumped his entire camelback full of water into his crib while he was supposed to be napping. He is now goofing around in our bed. I have a feeling there won't be a nap at all.

Took DD to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this morning. She only cared about two things: a Patti Smith doll ("Dah! Dah! Daaaaah!" We had to go back to it several times so she could see it again) and Lady Gaga's meat dress ("Yum! Mama, dada, yum!" I don't even know how she realized it was made out of food, but no, kid, you're not eating that.)
We went to Disneyland last weekend and now I'm really wanting to go to Disney world again. I looked up hotels for a quicj weekend and LOL the prices are insane.
After a five day work trip I came home to a baby who sleeps in his crib and only gets up once or twice. I told DH he did such a great job he gets to stay on baby duty another week (he's off work for two weeks).
Just took away J's pacifier cold turkey. God help us! He's been acting crazy for it, and climbing up on things to reach it when I put it up out of reach, so I am totally done. I should have taken it away months (years?) ago.
Life has been too much lately. We had a crew working on our removing our popcorn ceilings and had a 4 day buffer, well they ran into an issue and keep delaying each day. So I have not had a kitchen or use of DD's room for almost a week now (supposed to be done in 2 days). Once they were done with those rooms we were moving the rest of the upstairs furniture into the finished rooms and downstairs and then they were going to do the rest of the bedrooms/hallway/office. Then we have floor guys lined up to refinish the floors right after them.
They just called and they aren't coming again today and won't be able to start til monday am. So now we have to move all the upstairs furniture downstairs and pray they finish in time for the flooring people. Had I known they were going to come and make everything a dusty mess and then leave it for another 4 days I would have cleaned up the kitchen so we could use it, but they kept saying we are coming today or tomorrow early etc.
DD and our dog have been sleeping like crap and DH is overwhelmed with work and hasn't been getting up with either one of them so I have been exhausted. The main issue is that DH doesn't hear either one of them until they are barking or screaming for such a long time. I have no idea how anyone sleeps thru that. He will get up if I wake him, but at that point, I am already up and can't go back to sleep easily so I am super irritated.
I'm ready for this renovation to be over so we can sell and move back into our old house.
Ugh the gas company applied my final payment for our house to our apt. So we just got a letter saying they need final payment. Ugh. So now the apt has a huge credit and the house is finally paid.
I'm somewhat thankful no gas in the new house. Too much to keep track of.
Thanks to whoever figured out the Paw Patrol Patroller deal at target (spk926?). I picked one up today (even managed to sneak it into the bottom of the cart w/o DS noticing). My grandma always has me do her shopping for him, and this was the perfect price & he will love it!
I taught C how to build a blanket fort. He is currently climbing on chairs trying to make one of his own, unsuccessfully. But he's super entertained, so I'm calling it a win!
