I ordered something for Amelia last week when toys were 20% off and never got an email saying the order was canceled. I didn't realize they had cancelled it until the rest of the order arrived Saturday evening. Tried to rebuy the stupid robot yesterday with the Cyber Monday discount, and it's sold out not just on Target but TRU and back order from Fisher Price. Amazon has it for $60 when it's $35 everywhere else.
FUCK YOU TARGET, I would have gone out on Black Friday and looked for it had I not thought I already purchased it.
One of my orders yesterday was scheduled for store pickup, since it was inexplicably unavailable for shipping. The store location is kind of inconvenient for me, but hey, you take what you can get for 15% off.
This morning I have an email that "whoops, it's actually not at that store at all! hee hee! choose another delivery method!" So I logged in, selected the order, tried to choose another store that suddenly has inventory, and then it kicked me to my cart, which was empty. I started over, and now my only options were to reorder or to cancel the order. Of course, when I tried to reorder, the 15% discount is no longer available.
I kind of lost it a little. I might regret it later, but I sent an email that pretty much ended with "you can take your 5% redcard discount and shove it up your ass; I'm doing the rest of my Christmas shopping with your competitors."
Of course, if they offered me my order for free, I'd take it. I'm not a PSYCHO.
Lol, but they won't. Their customer service is truly horrendous. But now don't yell at me, but when you went to do the reorder, if you had called customer service they almost assuredly would have honored your 15% with less aggravation.
Their website is so incompetent as to seem purposefully so. I despise them online.
Yeah I had one good experience online. I'd rather drive to a further Target than deal.
Toledo do they have a chat option? I get the most immediate and satisfactory results channeling that frustration into the chat. They give answers pretty quick and can offer solutions. GRANTED I haven't done this at Target.com but on other sites it's worked pretty well.
I've had that happen to me MANY times with Target (place the order for store pickup and then get an email saying that it's actually not there, sorrynotsorry). Dealing with their website and operations is unbelievably frustrating.

I hate the Target website so much. I placed an order two weeks ago - a shirt and a skirt for DD2. I got an email that the shirt had shipped but the skirt was delayed. The skirt was delivered yesterday, but there is no sign of the shirt. WTF. I tried for hours yesterday to log in to check the status of my order but the site was down (of course). I refuse to order anything else from their site this season. It's ridiculous.

I did manage to get one from a friend who found it at her local store and is shipping it to me but for more than it would have been had Target just sent it to me the first time I ordered it.

check kohl's! I had a similar experience a couple of years ago with the Doc McStuffins Get Better Check Up Center that was apparently made of gold, and kohls.com came through for me.

Also, I ordered my under eye concealer yesterday with all the discounts and when I tried to add it to my cart, I got a message saying their was a line for that item but if I waited on that page, Target would hold my place in line. Um no, Target, I'm not going to to just sit here on this page for an hour while you get your shit together.
An hour later when I tried again, it was magically available.

Yeah we just got the Octopod from Kohls at a good price -- sold out/discontinued everywhere else.

Lol. Oh I agree with you, but I have found my zen today after having to deal with Amazon Prime's failure last night at 11:50pm. I was screaming at the computer that I had no intention of spending a gazillion dollars to ship, but then I called and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes lol, it was resolved and brought my blood pressure down. A good reminder that a website cannot really offer you good customer service

I sent them an email this morning too.
I was trying to order TV during yesterday morning's mess and kept getting booted off. By the time I was actually able to keep it in my cart yesterday afternoon they wouldn't ship to home or store. Went to the only Target in the area that had it in stock but they wouldn't honor the online price and it was priced at almost $200 more in-store. Why offer online if they won't ship anywhere and it is basically impossible to get at the advertised price?

I have tried three times over the past year to do an in-store pickup for items that they say are in stock - all three fucking times, I got a text about an hour later that they aren't available and the order was canceled.
Seriously. Get your shit together, Target. Either don't offer it as an option or keep your inventory updated.
I'm done with them. I love love loved Target, but IJC anymore. I don't remember the last time I walked out of the store with the stuff I wanted to buy. I'm trying to spend money and walk out empty handed.
I had a dozen things on my list today and ended up with one roll of wrapping paper. I wanted a Coke at checkout and every single fridge was empty. The manager who checked me out made the mistake of asking if I found everything I was looking for. "No. You're out of 11 of the 12 items on my list."
I got in a similar fight with target.com. It did not end well. Eventually their CS stopped responding to me. They truly suck.
Customer service through sears.com once brought me to actual tears.
Word to the wise - Sears in store appliance sales is different than Sears.com which is again different than how their installations are handled. None of those customer service arms talk to each other - to the point that I was once issued a refund for an issue by one arm that the next department REVERSED because they didn't agree. Stay away.

I have ordered from their site exactly one time and never will again. Such a nightmare. I can't even load their site on my phone or computer half the time without problems either. Ridiculous.
I tried to buy SD headphones from target.com on Friday. Everytime I clicked "add to cart" the site said "Your cart has reached the maximum number of this items allowed" and everytime I clicked on my cart? "Your cart is empty". Fuck you, Target. I bought them elsewhere.
