Does she mean all the other countries that have or had women leaders?
I don't think she even knows what she means I don't think most people even know what the president actually does
Based on a lot of his rhetoric, I'm not so sure TRUMP even knows what the president actually does. I think he's sitting there thinking "I get to make all the rules! I'm the king! Bomb Iran! Build a fence!"

I'd agree with that... he's all about "winning". Running a country isn't about winning, it's not a game and it's not a business either.

My boss thinks we're headed for a brokered convention with Paul Ryan emerging victorious. The more I hear the current candidates talk, the more this doesn't seem like a terrible outcome.
I think he'd get creamed in the general though, but it is still a less scary thought than a ticket with Donald Trump at the head.
I know I said this looked like a practical joke in the OP, but I said it with bitter sarcasm.
I do think either Cruz or Trump might be our next president. Especially against bernie or if bloomberg enter the race. The republican establishment spent months ignoring trump but they are lining up with their support because they think he'll include the party establishment in his government. The right wing tea partiers are enamored with Cruz and the party faithful will get in line if that is their only choice. Any voter who claims they are deciding between bernie and trump is either incredibly uninformed or posturing.
Remember when GWB made you long for the more level headed, less bigoted and less war mongering days of his dad? I'm not looking forward to a president who makes us long for the more level headed, less bigoted and less war mongering days of GWB.
So true. I never thought I'd see the day where I longed for GWB.

I like everything about this idea. Especially the "creamed in the general" part.

Truth. You know the candidates suck when, Jeb! looks like a well balanced alternative to the crazy. My super liberal friend even said that given the alternatives, maybe another Bush wouldn't be as bad as it once sounded. The fact that we even need to go there is appalling.
I mean, I still don't want any of the Repubs to win the general, but I'd feel slightly less hopeless if I knew that the alternative to Hillary winning wasn't a mysogynistic, egomaniac who seems to think life works like a Reality TV show. Or Cruz. I don't even have words for his asshattery.

I'm going to amend this. Yes, a hypothetical voter could truly be willing to vote for Bernie or Trump, and only Bernie or Trump (instead of Hillary, Cruz, or Rubio, etc.) but that voter would have to have such a deep seated commitment to sexism and xenophobia that voting for the old white man beats out every issue of substance. I really hope that isn't the most important swing vote this election season.
He's not "in" to Politics. He wasn't raised in a home where Politics were never discussed. He doesn't even know if his parents are registered or what their affiliation is. It's like some weird twilight zone thing. Seeing as how he likes Trump, I don't think this is a bad thing.

I'm voting for Hillary, hands down. Not even a question.
That said, I was kind of pissed when she announced her candidacy and am still pissed that she's the only barrier between this onslaught of crazy. Like it or not, she is one of the most polarizing figures in politics and has been for 25 years. I know she's a money machine but I really wish she'd thrown her weight behind someone more electable to moderates.
I am definitely more left than my H, and sometimes even that is a point of contention between us. I really, really don't even know how I'd respond to him supporting Trump, let alone supporting him while not even being into politics/registered to vote.
I don't even know what I would do if my husband told me he supported Trump. I can't think of one single thing about Trump that he could support without being someone I think I'd despise.
I would legitimately question my marriage if my H were a trump supporter.
My H does not support Trump, but one night during a discussion about politics, he jokingly said something along the lines of "watch it, or I'll vote for Trump." I told him I would flat out divorce him if he voted for or supported Trump. I was not joking.
a) We have more than enough fodder for Trump to photo shop him and make fun of his looks. b) That he was made to look like the actor from Goonies makes me wonder what that actor thinks. And it makes me feel sad. I guess I'm not supposed to feel bad by proxy for people, but it does.

I can't imagine having anything in common with a Trump or Cruz supporter, much less sharing a life and home with them. We would seriously not see eye to eye on anything that matters.

He's probably not thinking much (he died back in the 80s). But, I mean.. He didn't really look like that, you know. It was makeup.
