I'm fine, up in RR at my parents. Left on Thursday afternoon. I'm watching my neighborhood FB group, looks like no major damage there. If you are bored, feel free to drive over and check my place out.
I'm growing older but not up. My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck, let the winds of time blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

We ended up taking off at the last minute up to Seguin. From what I can tell the bluff is looking alright, but no clue on my townhouse which isn't far from Laguna shores.
However, watching the kiii 3 live stream and the port a mayor just reported 8 fatalities from the Rockport/AP areas but hasn't been confirmed

Stay safe in Seguin. I'm in NB and they are comparing this to the 98 flood. It's going to be bad.

My husband and kids are safe for now but I'm probably stuck in dallas until mid week (was supposed to be 2 nights). There was a tornado not far from our house and I can't sleep I'm so worried about my boys.

If you need to get out and do something let me know!
All hell broke loose last night. National Weather Service advised people not to get in their attics but to get on their roofs if the houses were taking in water. It's awful. (We are fine.)
And fuck 45 and his tone deaf tweets this morning.
Awful awful news coming in about catastrophic flooding this morning and they are saying five dead? This is terrifying. Continued good thoughts to everyone in this path. I hope you and your families are safe.

For now. Parking lot is underwater. Water is about a foot and a half lower than our apartment so we're preparing in case we need to go upstairs and knock on doors for someone to take us in.

Stay safe, everyone. This is really scary.
I posted on cep but to update you as well - my family stayed during the hurricane. They are in corpus Christi. No major damage to their homes or my brother's restaurant but they haven't had electricity since Friday. I will more than likely be heading down this weekend to take a huge load of veterinary supplies and pet food/supplies. The stray pet population down there is absolutely awful. While you're keeping humans in your prayers and thoughts, please throw some good thoughts in there for the animals as well

Is there anything I can do to help? Do you have an Amazon wish list? I would love to contribute to help the animals.

Our house started flooding about 10 last night. Thankfully it's been just minor, not covering the whole floor. We are trying to stay on top of keeping it cleaned up.

This storm is insane. My sister and family have been sleeping in the closet overnight due to the tornado warnings. They're school was cancelled Friday and now tomorrow and Tuesday. The bayou in Katy is expected to breach and my dad's old house is predicted to be under water. Thank god they don't live there anymore but of course worry about their old neighbors and friends. My sister said they got 16inches of rain last night.
TamiTaylor I am so sorry. egishere I'm sorry for your mil as well-hope by some miracle the house is safe.
Everyone else please stay safe and heed all warnings!

That is really nice of you. I haven't thought that far ahead. I'm still Waiting to hear what is needed from my friends who are in rescue down there.

My sister in Brazoria County just got mandatory evacuated. This is so crazy! They kinda figured it so they packed and got their house ready. I lived in the Houston area for 31 years and never experienced anything like this.
I have a coworker in Houston. He said the levees around his neighborhood are holding for now, so that's good. A family friend posted a picture of some really large trees that came down in Austin. And the low water crossing that provides the only exit out of my best friend's Austin neighborhood is almost flooded. If it's that bad in Austin, I can't imagine the coasts. Continued good thoughts for all of you in the areas of serious damage.

My family was trying to evacuate and got stuck in the high water. My great aunt, great uncle, and 4 of my cousins were swept away earlier in their van and are presumed gone. One cousin managed to get out. Other family members are out there looking for the van still. You guys... I have no words. I'm numb. Please just stay safe.
