Just got off the phone with our CVS at Target pharmacy tech. He said they can do children’s flu shots (I thought we’d have to go to the pediatrician) and he set the whole thing up for us so we can just walk in any time over the next 12 days. Woo hoo! If you use their pharmacy, call ahead and set it all up!!
I usually get mine at work, but they booked up within five minutes of sending the email so this is the first year I couldn't schedule it here. However, I live across the street from a Giant food store and they are doing them, so I might actually get mine when I go there tonight. I'll remind H to get his the next time he goes. The girls are getting theirs on 10/23 and I am already anxious that it's "so far" away since the flu is hitting early this year. Ugh.
ETA: And yes, I absolutely judge people who won't get it for non-medically necessary reasons.
I work in immunizations so I have to get it, but I would anyway. I got mine Monday and gave DH's his that night. DS1 got his last month and DS2 is too young. FYI, CDC is recommending everyone get their shots before the end of the month. Your public health department is also a great resource especially if you or your children are uninsured/under-insured or on Medicaid.
The kids and I all get flu shots. They are offered free. I already got mine few weeks ago. But the well check for the girls are coming up and they get a flu shot at this time. The rest of the extended family gets flu shots as well.
DH doesn't get a flu shot and never has. He has never had the flu. It's his choice I suppose.
DS just got back from CVS where he got his flu shot. He works for a tourist railroad in a public facing position and gets exposed to lots of germy people on the Fall Foliage and Santa trains. The insurance computer system was down, so he elected to pay out of pocket; they'll reimburse when the system is back up.
He got Fluzone Quad for $28.63. Great if you can get it free at work or via the local DOH, but still not that expensive.
DD has had the first half of hers (she just turned 1), and will get the rest in about two weeks. We’ll take DS with us when we go in for DDs second shot so he can get his. H will get his at some point, but he insists on going to his doctor and not a pharmacy. I usually just go to a pharmacy, but figured since I have to go to the OB for my annual on the 17th, I’ll just do it then.
H and I both work with the public, and DS is in Kindergarten now, so I INSIST we all get the shots.
There's a flu clinic that starts on October 8th and that's when David's going to get his. H gets his on his own at Walgreens or something. I can't get one because I had a really bad reaction two years in a row so my doctor advised against it.
It actually IS mandatory there. I have no idea why he insists that he and his colleagues don't get the shot and how that's even possible. But he and his wife are SO VOCAL about it.
I work in healthcare, so I get it every year. Because I have several autoimmune diseases, my rheumatologist always gives me the Fluzone high dose vaccine, the same one that is given to seniors 65+ years old.

Husband got his at nursing school, I'm getting mine tomorrow and little one gets hers on Tuesday. I tend to like to wait until October. Don't ask me why, its my weird thing.

H got his already, I'm waiting to find out if work is offering free shots on-site again, and I was going to wait until DS' annual well visit with his pedi, but we might just go to CVS, since it sounds like flu season is starting early this year.
I will say, my husband got the flu vaccine last year and he was very sick with the flu for 5 days in Feb anyway. But he will still get the vaccine this year.

Currently unemployed with no health insurance. I don't even have enough $ in the bank to cover my monthly expenses right now so all medical things are on hold until that situation changes.

I got mine at the pediatrician’s flu shot clinic with my kids - about a week and a half ago. DH got his at work last week. There is already some flu around where I am.

I have to because I work at a hospital (a children's hospital, no less), but I would regardless. DH and DS will get theirs this month. DD is only 4 months so we have to wait a bit longer.

We are getting ours in a week at the kids’ pedi clinic. Growing up, my grandma was a nurse and would bring home a pile of flu shots to give us all, so I never actually had to seek one out until a few years ago when she retired.
Getting an injection in my grandma’s kitchen is a fond memory of mine, haha.

Hugs, I'm sorry. You might also want to check your town board of health. My town does a few flu clinics this month that are free to anyone, you don't even have to be a resident. I've done that before, they are busy but usually move very fast. They usually have one on a weekend, one on a weeknight and then sometimes you can schedule an appointment in the office too.

I don't know if you're still in the county on your profile, but there's a ton of locations that offer free vaccines. just all 866-358-2966 and listen to the prompts, press the one for the help desk and they'll give you a location based on your address. They also said you can call 2-1-1
