My boss got a really serious phone alert and google is even giving me a warning. My coworker got notice that his kids aren't allowed to leave school. I guess one touched down in Berks County and did some damage, so Lehigh and Bucks are now on high alert. We were asked to take shelter until 4:15.
oh wow. I just googled where it touched down. that's really close to where I grew up. (I mean, 8 miles. that's close for there) My aunt used to work at that Holiday Inn. Our favorite pizza place is (apparently still there) in the clocktower plaza just up the street a bit. (Antonios pizza. if you're ever on the turnpike and are hungry around Morgantown. Might still be delicious!)
Thursday is now tornado day where I live apparently. Two weeks in a row, like clockwork, I get the alert that there's a tornado warning in my county, the schools are sheltering in place and then I drive home wondering if today is the day the neighbor's big half dead tree falls on our house. so that's been freakin' weird. I honestly can't think of a single actual active tornado warning WITH ACTUAL TORNADOS in the time I've lived here. uhhh...11 years. The one last week was about 3 miles from my house as the crow flies. This weeks' was further.
Exactly! We’ve had tornado watches before, but I can’t remember actual tornados in the 6 years I’ve lived here.
After that first warning we had ANOTHER one from 5:15-5:45 for Bucks and Montgomery. It was also pitch black outside at 5. I stayed at work until 6, lol. We also briefly lost power twice and several of my coworkers who live in Doylestown lost power all night.

Yep. I was inside my kids' school for the second Thursday in a row waiting it out. Pretty sure this one went right through the yard of one of my employees.
