Random musings you can take or leave.
Over the next few weeks you will likely be overwhelmed by people asking what they can do. When my aunt and friend was in this situation they kept a notebook with them. They would list things they needed to get done. So when someone asked they could pass it on.
Do you have a person who can be your point of contact? They can field questions and updates to a larger group.

This may also be too much so just ignore me. Depending on how public you are with updating folks (I'm team not a lot of folks need to know), there are ways to post that semi privately. My friends husband had a stroke a couple of years ago, and in her very public about everything fashion (truly no judgement) she created a private FB group for updates. She created an Amazon Wishlist with items that they needed when he came home, and updated things like "we need recommendations for a lawn mowing company, or someone to be kind enough to mow", snow removal, can someone drive the H to the doc apt? and so on. She also posted updates regarding his recovery so that she wasn't asked 8000 times. Again this is only if you want a group to be in the loop without sharing the same info a lot.
