Our furnace went out last night, so that's great. Luckily my H is handy and determined and was able to troubleshoot the issue. He should be able to fix it for about $110 worth of parts and expedited shipping. It will be a chilly couple of days, but at least it's not the dead of winter.

gretchenindisguise if this has been an ongoing issue have they ruled out endometriosis? My best friend from childhood started experiencing the symptoms in our teens and wasn't diagnosed till her 20s.
I think I have a date tonight. We'll see. I swear with these online dating apps I don't trust anyone, and until they are actually sitting in front of me, I don't believe that the date is actually happening. It's taken all of 3 weeks for me to become jaded LOL
I operated the same way, it's not happening until we actually met at the place. Until then all bets are off. There were times I was totally disappointed (the expense of a babysitter only to be stood up for xyz reason) and other times pleasantly surprised - J.

No. Endo has definitely crossed my mind but the treatment is essentially bcp from what I can tell - and she’s on it.

I just downloaded Duck Duck Go that claims they're a super private browser. I spend more time than I should wondering how they make money if they "don't sell your data or internet history", but figure they probably still try to sell stats, just can't say for certain it's people of x demographics.
I've been half listening to the "Nobody Should Believe Me" podcast (thanks GBCN) about Munchausen's by Proxy. Just called CVS to try to deal with a medication issue and get told to contact my doctor. I think the doc just wrote the amount to prescribed per 90 day supply as the total number of pills to be prescribed for a year, but I felt like was asking for something I don't need by asking the doc (in the portal) to refill the script for a whole year. I've never met the PCP in person since the old doc retired, so they should know I'm not a doc shopper, just too invested in this topic apparently.
Also why on earth can't insurance get their sh!t together and just approve a 90 day supply without going through another third party? I think I'm going to have to go to the pharmacy every month, and it's more time consuming than it should be.
I'm realizing a lot of the entry level resumes read like they used chatGPT. I guess that's going to be a bigger thing now.
Agree. I have actually used chatGPT to start job descriptions and give me a list of interview questions for a specific kind of job. It's not always great, but can be a good starting point if you aren't sure where to start or just don't want to have to take the time to start from square 1.
Why did network shows in the 2000's and 2010's always fell the need to do a musical episode? It's so weird, never really moves the plot along, and almost never matches the tone of the show.
This brought to you by my background-rewatching of House, and S7E15's musical number.
Because the show was dying. I watched Gossip Girl and when they got to the musical episode I was like oooooooh...ok, this is where the writers ran out of ideas.
How do you know if a headache is a migraine? I’ve gotten headaches before and they got really sever until I had back surgery and then I didn’t really have them that bad anymore but all of the sudden I’ve been getting them regularly again. Like I wake up in the middle of the night with one. or could they be menopause related (I’m in my late 40s)
For me, the pain is always behind an eye (usually my left). Regular over the counter meds do not touch it, and if I don't take the Rx meds soon enough, I will definitely throw up. The pain is weird, too. I have felt worse physical pain, but the migraine pain is agonizing in a different way. They are headaches I am afraid of.

It's the new version of "jumped the shark" apparently

On a good L hand - we had her 504 meeting this morning and it was so refreshing. She is doing so good. Her school is fantastic. It’s like a complete 180 from middle school.

I'm already tired of hearing about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Great, they are dating. Does an article need to be published every 15 minutes about it?

We had a relaxing trip at the beach, yay! I was worried I would miss our son so much since he couldn't come because of college but I know he's doing well so I'm adjusting to him being gone. Nothing went wrong ON the trip but before we left our dishwasher broke and we came home to a pinhole leak in our basement. DH is going to try to fix our dishwasher and a plumber comes tomorrow and we are either going to repipe the whole house or at least the basement. We've had several over the years. I'm glad I didn't know about it on the trip.
And I don't even have a work computer since I'm self employed--but I wouldn't think twice about what I googled. I don't even have a password on my phone.
ETA: also have you all tried Joseph's lavash bread? I like to look for ideas for easy pizzas and this has a lot of protein and fiber and it's a really thin crust. I made the best pizza just now
We had to pull the reigns in on our kids freedom a bit and limit them to playing only on our section of the street after lots of drama and fighting with other kids in the neighborhood. This is 99% due to one little girl who instigates a lot of stuff, has lied to my face, and looked up naked pictures on her phone in front of my kids.
Now my kids are home with no friends and bummed that everyone is playing just a few streets away, this sucks and I don't know how long our new rule will last.

Was Glee popular at that time? Another thought maybe the writers thought the singing and dancing was so popular everyone wanted that on every show? Spoiler alert...they didn't.
I'm sick of Taylor Swift and the football guy too. I'm a fan of TS but don't get the joke that her next album will be titled "Red Flag" thing in relation to football, just red flags that the relationship won't work work.
I like musical episodes! Why not? TV seasons used to be so long they had time to be silly and have some episodes that were just for fun. Now we get like 6-10 episodes, they don’t want to pay anyone and there is no room for extras.

It must be my love of gossip and pop culture that is working against me on the algorithm but I cannot think of two things I care about less than football and Taylor Swift yet it’s all I’ve seen for days. It’s too powerful.

Call me Usher because this is my confession lol
I loved, LOVED, the Grey's Anatomy musical episode. I'm pretty sure I cried LOL. I love any musical anything.

I always think the actors look like they are having so much fun during the musical episodes! I bet a lot of them have musical theater backgrounds (even if it was just high school) and they really get into it.

Life would be better if we could break out in song at any random moment.
Why do vacations feel like work? I’m ready to cancel it and just take the loss of money
This is why I love cruises. I am a lazy vacationer 90% of the time. Other than excursions, I just want to have to decide buffet or dining room for dinner. That’s it.
I saw an IG reel of someone talking about the truth of European vacations and all the walking and moving cities, etc and I’m like “this is not making it sound fun.”

😂 it’s a cruise! It’s all the preparation for it. My house is a disaster and no one is packed. We need to leave by 930 in the morning
