Got the COVID booster and flu shot last night. I felt pretty good up until about an hour ago. Now I can feel the fatigue and achiness settling in. With all the COVID boosters before, my teeth and joints hurt. My arms are also very sore.

Today I’m getting a facial and massage. Tomorrow is my birthday and my partner has made plans for the day and I don’t know what they are yet. Sunday I made an appointment at Sephora to get my make up done and buy a few things that I need replacing.
I’m excited for a "me" weekend Happy Friday all!

Related: grief is weird. I got my proceeds from the sale of my my grandmothers house. I'm incredibly grateful and just put it in savings for DS, but it brings back all the memories in that house and it just hurts.
Now off to fix my makeup before I go into work since I've been crying all morning.

Got fun plans this weekend?
I get both of mine today after work...ugh. This is what I'm worried about. Did you get both in the same arm or one in each? I need to plan my strategy lol.

They strongly encouraged one in each arm. I did COVID in my left, since it's my non dominate arm.
We use to have Blink cameras in the house. The one in the living room specifically I would use to check in on the dogs when I'm not home. I got a new phone and not all of my passwords saved for whatever reason. I went to log in just now and asked STBXH for the password and he won't give it to me. As a matter of fact, the living room camera is missing from the wall. So now there are at least 3 cameras in my house somewhere that I have no access to. So that's awesome.
donutsmakemegonuts, I did both in my left arm. I always do COVID on my non-dominant side. I'm a side sleeper. YMMV.
Weekend plans include meeting couple-friends for dinner Saturday night. The woman just got back from 2 weeks in Turkey with a friend from her previous job who lives there part time. I start a low residue diet ahead of a colonoscopy next Wednesday. I see my PCP next Friday; my LDL cholesterol is borderline and I want to avoid a statin. Total cholesterol and HDL are fine. My platelets are also right on the edge but they always are. I'm hoping to convince her to allow a diet approach first.

I've gotten mine at the same time the last couple of years when the base health clinic was offering them to civilians, and I did both in my non-dominant arm with no issues. Wasn't any worse than the regular COVID shot icks.
I'm just waiting to take David to school. He's dragging this morning. My H has track days both days this weekend so I just have to take David to his robotics club Saturday, then we're going out for steaks afterward. I guess Sunday I'll prep for our upcoming trip. Most of all I cannot wait to sleep in! I've slept like shit all week.

I dropped DH off at the airport yesterday after a very hectic drive thru pouring rain, crazy traffic, and lots of construction. Then hurried back home an hour away to start the evening shuttle to/from sports for the kids. All 3 are at school now and I'm going to go lay down and watch a movie! DH is at our niece's destination wedding. She is marrying an utter douche canoe who literally makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Cue all the FB photos with him commenting "Baby we deserve this!" "Almost Hubby". Gag! I am not FB friends with him. It's just him commenting on other people's posts. FIL's gf asked if I wanted her to send photos and I was like oh, you will be busy, no need. But really hell no!
Ugh, talked to DH last night and he might need to add a few days to his trip. 37 freaking days. Trying to keep in mind how much easier this is now than when the kids were little.
Last night I set myself up with a Lego set (tales of the space age) and a beer after DS was in bed, and it was very relaxing.

For sure, but still more work for you. Godspeed. I will never forget DH was in Mexico for work and DS1 was 3.5, DS2 was 14 months, and I was 7 months pregnant with DD and it was a brutal August when temps were getting up to 107 in the Midwest and his trip kept getting extended. He was supposed to be gone 2 weeks and ended up closer to 4. Now 11 years later it's easier, but all the driving around and cooking and random stuff that pops up. Hope your DH comes home sooner than later.
@sameoldstory, oh wow. Not ok. Time to take camera down!
Now that H is working, I’m on morning dog duty. Today is the day I start work later, so I can sleep in. Dog has schedule and I must comply. So, I’ve already gone on a walk and been to the grocery store, and it’s just now login time.
I took this afternoon off (still in we weren’t furloughed and I had plans mindset). My friend is coming over and we are going to fix some of my fencing equipment. And I’m going to a tournament on Sunday. Go me! I’m still kind of “who am I?!” But enjoying it.
Also, we are 2 weeks into H working, and OMG I can see signs of the guy I married returning.

Yikes. I would disconnect and get a whole new system honestly. You can't trust what he is doing with access to the ones you already have.
I got up really early yesterday and I’m still paying for it. So tired this morning. Thankfully I should be able to sleep in a bit tomorrow. Sunday we’re taking family pictures at 7:30, so I need to be up by 6 to get ready. Just need to remember the resulting photos will be worth it.
I cancelled all my meetings today in anticipation of submitting a proposal that got extended, so hopefully today is pretty chill.
Kids are in fall break through Tuesday, we are going to Boston today! My sister lives there and we haven’t been since ds1 was a baby. He will be 11 next week! I’m excited to do all the touristy things with them.
rubytue, donutsmakemegonuts, The problem is that he's been known in the past to hide these cameras to spy on me and my kids. Now that I don't have access anymore, he could have them hidden anywhere to watch me. I already know that he watches my comings and goings on the Ring Doorbell, but this is a whole new level now that he has these cameras in my house somewhere. I'll get a new camera and set up a new account so I can watch my dogs, but I'm worried about what he may be watching now. I guess I need to start searching and see if I can find them, he claims that he threw them out.

Yeah, that's creepy and he sucks. Can you switch internet providers? Then you could change the wifi set up and password protect it and his hidden cameras and the Ring doorbell wouldn't work at all for him anymore.

The top of my foot has been bothering me for a couple months, but it sort of just felt bruised. I was walking the dog a couple nights ago and suddenly felt a sharp pain in that area and it has hurt worse since then.
Is it possible that I had some kind of stress fracture that I made worse? Or could it just be some kind of tendon issue?
Tool to monitor for hidden cameras google search yields many, many results. Remove the ring, remove the cameras, buy the tool and move on. Change your locks while you’re at it.
This morning I got up did my workout, started laundry, had breakfast. So normal and so nice. I am having lunch with a friend and will get groceries while I am out. Really looking forward to a yoga class tomorrow morning.
We spent the last three days in a hotel, with long 10+ hour days at the hospital for DHs stem cell collection. We get a week off (thank goodness!) and then go back for his cancer treatment for a month. I am so tired after 3 days. The idea of 30 is just overwhelming. I tell myself a couple of times a day that it is a marathon, not a sprint. And we will do this, as it is the best course of treatment.

Or reset the WIFI password. He's not paying towards the internet bill, so why should he get to use the service?

He's a liar. No one throws out cameras.
Oh, I know.
I'm just starting to get really creeped out. I don't even have Ring notifications turned on on my phone, but apparently he does, and has been keeping track of when I've been coming and going. Last night I wanted to chat on the phone with a guy that I'm seeing so I went and sat in my car because I don't know if/where he has cameras hidden. Plus, security is what he actually does for a living. I never thought he would do something like this, but as time goes by I'm realizing just how much of a bad person that he is and even though I started to figure it out at the end of the marriage, apparently he was still hiding a lot of his psycho tendencies from me.

This is probably the best idea. I should've done this a long time ago.
I've schedule the flu and Covid shots next week, for myself and my mother. It's funny how my little 91-year-old mother never seems to feel the effects, while I know the next day will be rough for me. But I kind of intentionally scheduled it so I can take a sick day if I need it, because honestly I could use a break from work. Even if it is to curl up and nap the aches away.
From the "tales from my yard" file, I was on a conference call yesterday at noon and saw a raccoon in my yard, walking a little unstably. By the time I got off my call, it had moved off behind the neighbors' houses, but I put the call out to warn folks because I'm fairly sure it had rabies (out in daytime, unsteady walk). My neighbor warned her lawn team and they even postponed mowing just to avoid the risk of an encounter.

I say this with love and concern, but you should have already changed every password to anything that was ever yours. And I understand not wanting to change the locks and kick him out because of the complications surrounding that, but you should never be alone in the house with him. And the second your hearing is over, those locks need changed.
DS woke up with a headache and low-grade fever this morning, so he's staying home from school. I gave him an ibuprofen and he said he's feeling fine now and his fever went down because of the ibuprofen, but we try to follow the school rules about fevers and staying home, and also don't want to get other people sick. He's kind of bummed, because that means he can't go to middle school night at the HS varsity game tonight - all of the middle school players get to line up on the field to create a tunnel for the varsity players to run through at the beginning of the game.
Tomorrow we are planning to get family pictures in the morning, as long as DS is feeling better/fever free. Both kids hate doing family pictures, so I always try to find the "mini-session" events, which is what we're doing. I still need to finalize outfits tonight.
We heard last night that the mom of one of our friends just passed away, so we're probably going to go to the visitation on Sunday afternoon. She was in her 80s and I don't think she had been well, so not completely unexpected, but obviously still sad.
