Our household is the last in my personal acquaintance to get COVID*, despite living normally and basically mask-free for at least the past year, but I was reading last night that while estimates are that while as of 2022, as many as 77 percent of Americans were thought by the CDC to have antibodies from having it, including just about every child, just over half think they have. So, what's the board's experience?
*DS and DH tested positive this week. I'm still negative.
I got it for the first time in Feb. I went almost 3 years (while in nursing school!) without getting it. My partner had it twice and I really thought I'd be lucky enough to not get it the second time.
Yes, all of us have had it twice. The first time for each of us was before the vaccine was available, and the second time was after several rounds of vaccination. But we are in high-exposure jobs and C went back to in-person (masked) school pretty quickly. None of us felt particularly ill other than general crumminess, but I’m fairly certain that H’s two rounds of COVID contributed to a stroke he had earlier this year.

I've had it twice and my H 3x. My kids have had it at least once. But honestly probably more as we don't test for every minor cold symptom. I feel like at this point everyone has had it where they know it or what to admit it.

DH, DD2 and I all had it summer of 2022. I would have never known DD2 had it as she had very, very minimal symptoms - like she coughed maybe six times all day long. H and I were sicker.
As far as we know DD1 has never had it and I feel we are pretty frequent testers. Last year her school required negative Covid tests basically every time they were absent.

The 3 of us haven't had it (that we know of) which is wild to me. At first I wanted the never had it badge and then I thought come on now just jump on me virus and get it over with. Now I'm like whatever I must have pickled my insides with drugs and alcohol so no cooties can touch me.
My H and I both got it in June 2022. To our knowledge we haven't had it otherwise. I have been very lax in testing when unsymptomatic, but have tested any other time either of us have been sick and it's always been negative.
HRH Queen Dick I, Orphan, that's pretty much where I was before this week. My brother managed to go three years working in an ER without getting it, but got it after flying to Florida in August (that checks out).
It's possible that we are just really bad at home tests, but DS has been tested at school and at the pediatrician dozens of times in the past three years and this is the first time he turned up positive. 🤷♀️

H and I have both had it once, but as far as we know our kids have never had it. When H had it, not one else was sick or tested positive, and when I got it months later, no one else in the household got sick or tested positive.
E had it 1x even after vaccination, Feb 2022. We found out it was because other parents weren’t notifying the school and sending their kids contagious (WTAF).
DH and I haven’t tested positive. We’re 99% sure DH got it at a funeral back in May, but he was nauseous and tired and didn’t test positive. I then had what was a cold a week later and it unfortunately went to my parents.
Everyone had different symptoms and we all tested, but no positives. So either not Covid or not caught. In fact my Dad ended up with a sinus infection and urgent care didn’t even give him a Covid test. 🤷🏼♀️
A CW who left the medical field figures everyone has likely had it, but they were either asymptotic, didn’t test, or didn’t test positive.
Neither of us have ever tested positive, but I got a wicked thing on our way back from vacation at the end of September and would be really surprised if it wasn't COVID. I was pretty much sick all of October and husband had the same thing for about 2 weeks. He's got something else now that's primarily an awful cough without many other symptoms and is testing negative.
DS and I both had a mild case in May 2022. H has never had it yet. We test a lot too anytime someone feels off so if H had it, he had no symptoms at all.
I voted no because any time we've tested it's been negative. I think it's possible we've had it once or twice and just never got a positive test. We're all vaccinated, up to date on our boosters, etc. and we wore masks way longer than most because we couldn't vaccinate our kids until last summer. Now we're just living our lives. We never trained our 2 year to mask like we had to with our 5 year old when she was the same age. We've gotten sick so many times this year and to our knowledge, it's never been Covid. Right now we're still recovering from RSV. Basically, I hate public school germs.
All 4 of us had it May 2022. I was down for a week and it took me a few weeks after to fully recover activity-wise.
I tested positive a few days ago after spendinblg a week in Disney. I barely feel anything this go around-some minor congestion. I got the latest booster about 6 weeks ago.
So far, no one else has been testing positive. Hopefully, it stays that way.
3/4 in our household had it in May 2022, starting with DS, who caught it from daycare and shared with H and I. We tested DD daily through that ordeal and she tested neg the whole time. AFAIK she still hasn't had it, although it's possible she did at some point and was asymptomatic.

Neither me nor my younger daughter has had it. (That we know of, unless we were totally asymptomatic, I really don’t believe we have.) My h tested positive in Jan ‘21 and I suspect my older daughter had it then as well.
I find it wild that I have not caught it, I was quick to drop masking (as soon as allowed) and I never worried about going in public.
I have contemplated posting this exact poll at both 3 and 3.5 years out from the start of the pandemic, but never got around to it. So thanks! I have still never gotten it as far as I know or could reasonably suspect and am frankly surprised at the current numbers (fairly early on since you posted) to see how many others have not had it either. I feel like DD2 and I are some of the only people I know who have never gotten it.
Myself and boys were cold symptoms/mild and DH was extremely sick (ER, antibiotics, IV for hydration, a full week in bed). I've never seen him so sick.
