I have a platinum engagement ring and we'll be getting my wedding band platinum as well. I've been wearing my e-ring for almost 2 years and it's held up really well, a few small scratches, but when I get my ring cleaned you can't even see them.
You can get white gold and platinum for pretty much the same price now, so I say go with platinum, I don't think you'll be disappointed!
Thank you everyone! We're probably over thinking it, but we want to make do something special. I'll talk to my fiance about the suggestions made on here. We've asked our families to travel pretty far for the wedding, so we want to show them how thankful we are for that... and of course for being awesome parents in general!
Definitely try and make it to the Salt Lick great bbq (I agree with others about going to Rudy's if not). Also, about 30 minutes south of Austin is a HUGE outlet mall in San Marcos, so that may be something to look into as well if you have the time for it. Have fun... that whole area is my old college stomping grounds and I miss it!
Sorry for the non-related post... I've been a lurker on this board, but I'm needing major help and thought this would be the best place to ask. My fiance and I are trying to think of what to get our parents as a thank you gift. We're having a destination wedding, so we'll be giving them the gifts at a family dinner we're hosting a few weeks before we leave, so anything with a picture from the wedding is out. We know of the usual jewelry for mom, watch for dad, but we wanted something different.
I'm currently on day 12 of being sick with the flu I'm sick of being sick!! Also, totally random I've been waaaaay into football this season and I'm counting down the days until I watch my Texans play this weekend!
I bought some from The Gap- more of a light orange (I guess you could call it like a sorbet) and I LOVE them. They're the only pair of colored pants I own and I was weary at first, but since they're a more muted orange I feel more comfortable wearing them.
I actually met Erica Rose last summer and she was surprisingly nice. Ed is a douche.... but Reid was also my favorite from Jullian's season so I'm biased I agree with the pp about previous cast members being jerks to the fans... um... you're "famous" for being on the bachelor/ette get over yourself.
Oh, Jaime (crazy kisser from Ben's season) looks too overdone now.
I need some advice. I've recently noticed that my 14 year old dog Freckles has trouble holding his urine. It's not that he pees on himself, but it's more like little drops (sorry if it's TMI... not sure how else to describe it). He goes outside several times a day; I'm not sure what we can do. Of course, there's always taking him to the vet, but I wanted to see if anyone here has any suggestions.

How about a hint?

Hahaha! No way! There's no drama on this board and I don't want to be the one to start it
I've been lurking since The Nest days, so I figured it's time for me to come out and play!

Thanks for your response! I've been googling things to do in Copenhagen and I felt like there wasn't much. I didn't even think of Stockholm (great suggestion!) so I'll have to do some research!
Back story- my fiance and I are getting married in Rome July 2013, so this will be our honeymoon. We're looking into going to Geneva, Capri or Santorini and one other city (we're considering Copenhagen, Berlin, Dublin or Madrid). I've been to Paris, London and Barcelona before so those aren't an option... I want to go somewhere I haven't been before.
Time wise we haven't figured out how long we'll be in each city, but I'm thinking probably 4 days or so each.
Anyone care to share their experiences traveling here? My fiance and I are thinking of going during our trip to Europe next July. As of now, plans are to be there for about 4 days.
Thanks!
ETA: We're also considering Berlin or Dublin so if anyone has been to any of these places I would love some insight!

I don't know their names yet, but the race car driver is hot! The guy who got the first impression rose was pushing the single dad angle quite a bit, but it looks like it worked! Should be a good season though!
