I work near mine and agree with the gas prices being sometimes 20 cents less than other places (especially with the hurricanes). Plus the CC deal on the gas pays for the membership.
I used to pay for eye insurance (covers exam and portion of contacts) until I learned that I pay less at Costco for contacts without insurance than I would with insurance and my optometrist.
My fav food at Costco was their guacamole but I ate so much of it, I can't anymore. Same with the pretzel rolls.
I still like their chicken flautas for a quick weekday meal.
It's just 2 of us and I still feel like it's worth it for me. I may not feel the same way if it wasn't so accessible for me. Especially since I can go a weekday at 6pm and it's dead.
SE Floridian checking in. We are safe, thankfully.
Anyone know how to stream the giants v cowboys game tonight? I can't use my local station bc it's showing Irma. We lost power, so wifi only won't work, we have to be able to use data. (Which is free for us for now, thanks Verizon!)

The association world is a small world. I'd stay, but I'd leave early on Fridays and only work 40-45 hours and not my usual 55. Your staff will appreciate it and someday, you might want to take along some of them.
I agree re heated floors, it's the one thing I really wish we had put in.
I live in mid-Wisconsin and did heated floors and it saves us so much in the winter as it radiates from the basement upstairs. Our basement is our TV area, so it made sense for our design too.
Screens. Toilet paper holders (seriously) Shower curtain racks Gutters Wiring for fans, extra outlets, etc
Mine didn't include: Oven hood Mirrors Toilet paper rolls Towel racks/hooks Curtain rods/curtains/etc Garbage bins for all the new rooms Mailbox
We went from a 2 bedroom/1 bath, to a 3 bedroom/3 bath so I felt like I was constantly buying things.
We saved a ton on lighting by buying through Overstock. Our kitchen came in on budget. Only thing we went over on unexpectedly was electrical since we put in Ethernet and extra can lights in the basement.

I have a friend who wrote an agreement that the house is in her name until she sells and at that time, they would split the expenses and income. It took her 6 years and there were no issues when she sold but they had an amicable divorce.

My ex-boyfriend used to live on Oak Island and did Kayaking trips/tours in Southport. Turtle Island was the favorite place to eat on the Island. We'd also drive his jeep on the beach, but that might have been a no-no.
I just signed up for the WW app and still trying to figure everything out. Where is a good place to look for WW-friendly meals? Any pinterest boards you recommend? What do you eat for breakfast?
I did this yesterday too--I know how to eat properly, but I just need something to get excited about. This is a blog I've followed for a long time as something to get ideas from:
We have attached a copy of the statement from the HSA account for the 2014 tax year. We have marked, with a green tag, all the distributions, totaling $4174.33, which were paid directly to medical providers for services rendered during 2014.
It sounds like you've done everything correctly -- I agree that now you are just playing the waiting game.
FYI-- When you take a distribution from an HSA, it doesn't actually have to be from that year.
Example:
HSA is opened in 2011 Medical expenses occurred in 2013 You take a distribution in 2014.
Nowhere in the current law does it say you have to take the distribution in the same year as an expense (only for an FSA, not an HSA).
My jaw literally dropped after I gasped. H called out the double crosser at the start of the episode, but neither of us expected that ending. Man, I was almost crying earlier in the episode when Huck was trying to convince Olivia that people could really change, because he needed the validation for himself so badly.
And Abby? What the hell?!?
I hope this isn't the end for him. The Scandal Paleyfest panel tomorrow is going to be very interesting!
My company's W-2 system was hacked last year. Fraud returns were filed for half the company. They gave us a free year of LifeLock. I also signed up for CreditKarma (free).
CreditKarma actually alerted me of credit cards being opened in my name. LifeLock didn't. They happened 4 times. Same with others in the office. LL not recommended
That's really interesting that Credit Karma alerted you first. I've been on Credit Karma for several years now. My company will pay for whatever I choose (up to $250). Did you have a hard time canceling or stopping LifeLock? I've read it is hard to stop.
Luckily, the hackers didn't get our personal information and it doesn't appear that is what they were after. They were trying to divert our payroll. Most of us are paid monthly and for those who aren't, this was also pay week (same day) for them, so we estimate that had they gotten the entire payroll, it would have been 8 million dollars or more. They got zero because it was caught and stopped so fast.
I only needed to open a new checking account because that is the only account that work had the number on. I pay everything online but I do not pay anything automatically out of that checking account so it was easier for me than most people. My company issued a paper check to me yesterday, I deposited it into my new account. I can start accessing it and using my new debit card on Tuesday. Luckily I don't need to spend money on anything until then and I do, I'll put it on a credit card temporarily.
The company provided the payment directly--I cancelled by not renewing with my personal payment info.

I work for a tax association as well as prepared taxes for many years. I have never heard of the IRS refusing to issue a refund when a previous refund was never issued.
You have a HUGE refund. I assume you took some sort of credit(s). Some refunds are delayed this year to give the IRS time to verify the legitimacy.
