Friday MH didn't get home until 2a from Vancouver, so Saturday we slept in-ish, until about 8:30. Then he had work meetings and I carved pumpkins and went to Costco. Saturday night we ordered Chinese, watched Halloween movies and handed out candy. Sunday we watched football basically all day, except for when we were napping. It was glorious and I am sad to be working today.
We cleaned the house, MH went golfing while I went to IKEA. Sunday I didn't some grocery shopping, and SIL came to get her piano and ended up staying for dinner. I also food prepped for this week and set up my office!
Nothing exciting, but productive, so it feels good!
What are your plans for this weekend? - I have a friends dinner tonight and I need to set up my office, which includes buying a desk. I might go to the nearest IKEA and pray for success. We are also cleaning and I think I will do some Halloween decorating. Then football all day Sunday!
Are you dressing up for Halloween? - Not this year
If so, what are you dressing up as? N/a
What is your s/o or kid (if applicable) dressing up as? N/a
It's quiet in here today. My whole team moved home while I was put, so today is my last day here. This is also annoying because I had no time to plot out moving all my stuff home.
I think so! Ha! Everything just went hazy and seemed really far away after I fell, and I felt like laying down was a really good idea. Poor Scott, he was quite scared. Now my knee doesn't hurt unless something touches where the dent is, but bending seems fine.
Yay - I am back from Europe and survived with the in laws
Yay - I have the day off!
Nay - I fell down the last night of our trip while running as fast as possible on cobblestones. I fell so hard I passed out cold and now my knee has a dent in it and my hands are all bruised. I need to get groceries but don't want to move because I hurt
Nay - I have piles of laundry and luggage to put away
I am glad there are some options for him, but I can understand how hard it is to leave after being there so long. Still, in the end he needs to look out for himself, which you know I hope it becomes less stressful for him soon!
Have you been to Paris before? Are there any must sees you want to do?
When we went, we stayed at Hotel Aviatic St Germaine. Don't let the name fool you. It's in The Montparnasse area. I loved it and the area. We were in walking distance to two metro stops. It's prolly too long to walk for most people, but one day we walked to the Eiffle Tower and over to Arc du Triomphe and Champs de Lysee. Another day we walked to the Catacombs.
I have never been, and want to fit in as much as possible!
We are going to be stayin one night in Paris this month and neither of us have ever been. I am trying to book a hotel, but I don't even know where to start! If you have been, what area do you recommend staying in?
We are going to London, Paris, some other places in France, Belgium and Germany. Although were exactly, I am not sure! So this trip definitely will be a new experience for me, since I like knowing what is happening when. ?
Glad the second day was better than the first! I really enjoy it!
Awesome! We were supposed to go to Holland and Belgium this October, but our bff's are pregnant...again and we wanted to go with them.
I would love to go to Holland! I have been trying to go on a trip with my friend for years, and kids have definitely stopped that, so I feel your pain!
I did the barre training last weekend. Hated day 1, drank the Kool-Aide day 2!!

What are you loving right now? I have the next two days off! 5 more hours!
What are you looking forward to? We are going to Europe in 8 days (even though it's with all the in-laws, I am still excited!) oh and I ordered a new pair of jeans, so those should be here by Friday!
Any random goodness to share? Barre last night was really good and it's supposed to be nice and warm today!
What's tasty today? So far my coffee, but I am going for dinner with my old manager tonight, so that I am sure will be delicious!
What did you do - Friday we signed our contract to build our house! Saturday we cleared out stuff we need to take to the dump, but then MH went golfing so we didn't do that part. Sunday we pulled up all the rocks and landscaping fabric from the front and replaced it and then went for Early Thanksgiving supper (it's in 2 weeks) at my parents, since we won't be here.
Would you call it a good one? yes!
What are you looking forward to this week? Finally finishing my dental work and we are going to a wedding in Kelowna, BC. We leave Thursday, so I only have one more day of work!
I have been stuck in a fitting room before and it's the worst! The panic, the sweating (which makes it harder to get out), the contortionist moves required to actually get out. Definitely one of the worst things to experience while shopping.
God help me. We are going to babysit my nephews. I will be teaching them the fine art of shopping. This wouldn't be happening but he did the maintenance on our car and got our parts for cost, so this is how he wanted us to pay him back.
Then my BFF is coming Sunday! I am so excited and hope my brother and SIL get back early enough that we aren't getting home late (they live 5 hours away). If they do we are going out for dinner and drinks. If not, it will just be drinks. Ha!
Yay - I work from home for the rest of the week Yay - I start barre tonight!
Nay - MH and I are in a tough spot right now. It sucks. Nay - I went to the dentist and have way too many cavities. Not sure how I got so many in a year, but half of them are under current fillings.
I am going to a barre certification at the end of the month. Let me know how you like it.
I have taken it before, and I love it. That's awesome you are doing the certification for it.

It took a year for me to go my diagnosis, and I was just over 24 when I finally did. I started biologics in 2009 as soon as I got married (since I needed full drug coverage to afford them). I started on Remicade, then Humira, then Enbrel, then Orencia. I have now been on Actemra for about 2 years and it is under control, but it took a while to find the right drug for me. When I have a flare I take a couple liquid Aleve and that really helps me, both with stiffness and pain
Sorry about your diagnosis, but hopefully you find something that works, and you get a good rheumatologist. Like another poster said, that's really important.
Friday we met with the architect doing out home plan, then I did some laundry and we just were lazy.
Saturday we went to GMIL's funeral and then my friend's wedding. Wedding was fun, I drank far too much.
Sunday my friend picked me up and we went to the newly married couple's for breakfast then I laid around with MH watching football, since I felt pretty shitty all day. MH and i met his family for lunch, also at the country club, and I agree that the food there is not that good.
