I think the people doubting OP may be familiar with her post history. That wine thread had definitely skewed my perception of her, and her ability to make mountains out of molehills.

If anything, I'd be a little offended by the predetermined donation dollar amounts - if I was faculty OR staff. I'll donate however much I want, thankyouverymuch, you don't need to go making assumptions based on my salary.

I'll second the ON ones. I was pleasantly surprised that even the ones that I can buy IN STORE (which, for me, is impossible) were long enough, and the tall lengths are even better.

My h is a driver. I've been of ask this week, so I don't have to worry about my commute, but my h will be driving all over the bay, starting at 5am. I'm going to be a nervous wreck.

Do you have an update with how you're doing? I didn't like the yarn I was using and am anxiously waiting for my giant knit picks order to come in. I'm thinking of using one of the many chromas that I got.
I have someone that I email semi-regularly for work who always has memorable out of office messages. One of them was something along the lines of "I am out of the office on vacation. My wife says I check my email too much, so I will do my best to respond to you when she isn't looking."
He's a very well respected and at the top of his field, so I actually feel like those messages make him more human.
I like this one.
I don't really like the one in the OP, it just doesn't seem that professional to me, but I guess it depends on the type of business.
I hate signatures that have the name of the person in a different, hard to read font and color. Basically, super primary. Like Papyrus font in regular red or something. Not that Papyrus is hard to read, but it's so... common. I don't know, maybe I'm weird, but I judge, lol.

Yes. My h doesn't get paid for time that he doesn't work, and it is SLOOOOW around the holidays. It stresses me out, but I try to prepare. I think we'll be fine this year, but it's a gamble every year.

I would love to be counted in as well. I usually do well for a month on my own, but quickly fall off. My H might even join the efforts as well, which would make things easier. Is there a group on MFP that we can create/join?

This is so sad. thinkofthesoldiers has a point, but I would never be able to live with myself if I had to shoot her. That's a tough position to be in - hopefully she'll get back up and isn't in too much pain.
