Is anyone still stuck on this invalid session key message?

I followed the directions exactly and this is what I get no matter what I try. I've tried to log in with both my username and email and no go.

It won't let me login the error I get is. We could not find an account with this username. Please try again.

ellie, i have several people on seattle board that want to change their display name with the upgrade. a few have tried entering something new into the display name, but nothing comes up. are they doing it right? is it possible to change? thanks!

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I was wondering...With this upgrade, are we going to lose our bookmarked threads?

They'll have to pm me here to change their name (either now or after the upgrade - doesn't matter). Any changes made on the test board will not convert.

Your account was created after the test copy of the board, so over there it doesn't exist yet. You can wait until next Wednesday when this board upgrades to create your global account.

Nope, they won't be lost. There is actually a link to them on the top nav bar now so they are easier to find. I just checked and mine still exist in v5, so no worries.

Either is fine. What was the issue? You should probably start by reporting it here because it could be something I broke

I don't think so. I know a new update is coming out in a couple of weeks to fix some bugs. I'm not really sure how the app will handle the new logins, I don't know if that has been mentioned anywhere yet.

eta: I just tested it on the new board & everything is still the same, so app users shouldn't have to do anything.

WTF am I doing wrong? I have tried this dozens of times. I got an activation key, I clicked on it to activate, and even got the confirmation email that my acct was activated.

But when I try to login on the new boards I get a message that my session key is invalid. I tried to reregister but of course to do that I have to create a new acct now because my user name is taken.

HELP!

The invalid session key error is something that the developers are looking into. A couple of other boards have had the same error, so it's not just us.

Can you tell me what browser you're using? And if you have access to another browser, are you able to log in with it?

Ellie, I'm gonna go ahead and piggy back on this compliment so you'd feel bad about telling me I'm annoying with my following question.

Wrt the display name and linking thing you posted about, my username is kevinarnold, my display name is kevin arnold (with a space). Is this going to be an issue? I do anticipate people linking me like whoa because I'm super popular, so let me know.

It shouldn't be a problem. Have you used the tagging yet? When you start typing a name it searches the members for a match, it's just that after you click the member name (which is the display name) it displays the username in the post instead. I just wanted to give the people who want that username to remain private a heads-up & instructions on how to remain private going forward.

I get the error on both IE8 and IE9, but when I used Chrome I could log in just fine. THANK YOU!!

Umm, so every time I try to login with my email on the testboard I come to the part where I'm supposed to show I'm human and when I answer that question I get kicked back to the login page and it says the email I provided cannot be found. (The email and password is right though)

So I saw the note about the browser and just checked. I can't login from IE9, it gives me the invalid user key. But on chrome I can login to the test board using my email and password.

After I login I get bumped to the page that has my screen name, email address and 2 spots to enter my password. When I enter my password I get an error message that says "Please enter a name. 1."

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

This seems to be a common error tonight. I think they are trying to simplify the login/upgrade process but they must have missed something.

And is there a way I can see if my username and display name are different? I can't remember how I signed up and don't know where to find the info.
