I have all the books I could need, and what more could I need than books? I shall only engage in commerce if books are the coin. -- Catherynne M. Valente
We have always treated revealing personal info more seriously than other TOS violations.
Even when it involves harassing a new mother? I really think that this comes down to traffic, then. Since we've come here, we've brought a lot of traffic.
i want to know who all the trolls are. i didn't know we could REALLY know before this situation. i don't think this situation is worse than previous situations, but i never knew we could do anything about it.
Most of the time we can't tell. We only know if they use the same info for both accounts, and usually people change it so there's no way to see who they are.

Do you think Ellie in on PBs payroll?
Yeah at this point traffic means nothing to me. Patrick reaps all of those rewards.
This is partly my concern about outing AEs. Because at some point, it will be forgotten what the "rules" are.
I also just don't get why outing is even important, other than to demonstrate that an Admin is willing and able to do so (which might be great for entertainment purposes, but not for ProBoards business purposes). I prefer my authority figures to be hands-off.
Plus, if ABC is identified as the troll, what stops her from abandoning the ABC SN and coming back as XYZ?
It's very weird how concerned that you are about nasty ae reveals.
Eh, I figured I'd get that. My concern lies in TOS/mod powers/admin powers/privacy, no matter the board, no matter the nature of the AE's content.
I'm ALL FOR Ellie disclosing who the troll was after she's teased us. I think Ellie acted impulsively, but I won't judge since I've acted Mod impulsively myself. I think she should do a reveal as to who the troll is, then we can make up rules to use next time something like this happens.
