By that I mean did you dance to something other than Etta James and walk down the aisle to Canon in D? I walked down the aisle to Chris De Burgh's In a Country Churchyard and then our first dance was to Journey's Faithfully.
Our first dance was to Oceanside by The Decemberists. It's the only wedding decision my H made.
I walked down the aisle to The Swan, from The Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens. The Joshua Bell version, since he was my first choice for husband.
Sewf, you are the only person I know who also did that!! I'm assuming the movie and Broadway's was the same, lol. Did you play the track or did someone play it for you?
Haha ninjabridemom ! I didn't even see your response before typing mine out! We went with the Broadway version because it was sung by Stephen Lynch, and we LOVE him!
The birdesmaids walked to a wind instrument version of Bryan Addam's Everything I do. I honestly can't remember what we walked up the aisle to but it wasn't a traditional song.
We walked down the aisle to Con the Partiro by Boccelli. Our entrance to reception was "Tonights Gonna Be a Good Night" by Black Eyed Peas. Our first dance was At Last though.
I walked down the aisle to the main theme from Star Wars We walked up the aisle to the main theme from Pirates of the Caribbean We danced to Peter Gabriel's song from Say Anything
I don't know if this is considered untraditional...I'll be walking down the aisle to "variations of kanon",played by George Winston. He's an amazing pianist. For the processional,it will be the theme from love actually. And the recessional will be "all you need is love" from the same movie.Yes,I am a dork and love this movie.
And corny as it is, the first dance is lucky by jason mraz. It is meaningful to both of us and a song we can each agree on.
I walked down the aisle to 'Shake That Ass Bitch and Let Me See What You Got'. H and I danced to 'You Down With OPP'. Everybody commented on how unique it was and said it was their favorite wedding EVAH!
We actually didn't have any music at all. We got married on a lawn next to a beach so you wouldn't have been able to hear music over the pound of the surf.
We were pretty darn traditional the first time. I felt like it was the wedding XH wanted, not mine, and was pretty much every other wedding. This next one is going to be hugely different.

HA! I was about to post about yours and how awesome it was.

I walked in to the music from "And I Loved Her" and our first dance was "The Luckiest". I'm not sure how traditional The Luckiest is, but I feel like my song to walk in to was fairly non-traditional.

Processional was "Echo Park" by Joseph Arthur Recessional was Queen We danced to Ray LaMontagne. "You Are the Best Thing," which became pretty popular pretty fast, but it had meaning for us so whatever.
I walked down to love and marriage by Sinatra. H walked down to Flash Gordon by queen. We walked back down the aisle at the end of the ceremony to another one bites the dust. Our flower girl was a drag queen and I can't remember for the life of me what she walked down to, but it was amusing. Our first dance was to "you're my best friend," by queen. We had a lot of queen.

Walked down the aisle to the Hawaiian version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (actually, the BMs walked to that, I started down when it changed into "What a Wonderful World").
Recessional was "Ain't Love a Kick In the Head" by Dean Martin.

My bridesmaids walked down to Heaven (candlelight mix).
I walked down to Storybook Love from Princess Bride.
Both on piano. My brother and I recorded Completely by Jennifer Day to play for our first dance. I sang and he played guitar. It was a surprise for my husband. He loved it. (it's not me singing in this video )
ETA: Oh yeah, our recessional song was the chorus of "it's too late to turn back now" by Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose
My bridal party walked down the aisle to Hallelujah, I walked down to Morning has Broken and our recessional was Just Like Heaven by the Cure (all on guitar and cello).
