Okay this is neither here nor there, but it keeps popping into my head that I'm pretty sure the Shettles method has been pretty widely debunked. I tried to google and all I could find was one article saying that, even though the X chromosome itself is bigger and heavier, all the other junk that makes up a sperm cell evens out the difference, at least within about 2% of total size.
Plus, it's not like one sperm gets to the egg and is all, jackpot! By the time the svelte ones have started breaking down the wall, some chubby X-chromosome-bearing sperm might just waddle up at the exact right moment to bust through.
I've been putting way too much thought into sperm lately and I can't hide it anymore.
She can have whatever marriage she wants, whenever she wants, but as we've discussed before kids born into marriage (or whose parents later "legitimize" them by marrying) are better protected under the law than kids born outside of wedlock. It sucks. Big time. But it is still true. Have a backyard wedding, or marry now and celebrate later, but protect the kids.
Which is why I would quietly get married at the courthouse (not tell anyone) ASAP and then have a wedding later.
