My family lives in northern MN. They live in a town that your choices are Piggly Wiggly or Walmart. There just isn't anything else, not even within an hours drive it seems!
I'm in an area that just passed a ridiculous abortion law inside the state budget.
Regular grocery store: Kroger Grocery where I buy my meat: Dorothy Lane Market
Unless some other area is pulling this shit: ME TOO!
I shop between Meijer, Kroger, and Giant Eagle... depends on the day, my mood, what food I want, and how much $$ I have. GE tends to be a little bit more expensive, but they have more selection and higher quality IMO.

We had Giant Eagle where I grew up. And for some reason their OJ was far superior to all other OJs. Yum.
Publix (usual, everyday groceries) Whole Paycheck (delicious overpriced NOMS) Kroger (2ndary usual go-to store. The closest happens to be a boutique so its selection is limited) Trader Joe's (rarely since WF opened)

I shop at Hannafords usually. If I wanted to drive further and spend twice as much, I could go to Stop and Shop or Big Y. Sometimes I will drive an hour for Wegmans (it's like a day trip!). I live in MA.
Oh! And there's a Weiss opening up next month down the road. Never heard of it, but I think there are some in other states.
Weis originated in my neck of the woods. central PA.
In fact, the name Weis is a big one in this area. The university I attended has a lot of buildings named after Weis, the local children's hospital, Bucknell University has a Weis Center for the performing arts. They're bigwigs around here.
I live in WA state/USA. Winco is my grocery store. Winco stands for Washington Idaho Nevada Colorado Oregon. If you don't live in one of those states you're out of luck which is too bad cause Winco is awesome!
We mostly go to Fresh & Easy and Costco. Sometimes Albertsons, Stater Bros, Smart & Final, Whole Foods, and Pavillions.
In a 2 mile radius from my house:
Fresh & Easy (x2) Sams Club Whole Foods Ralphs Stater Bros Plowboys Pavillions Walmart Albertsons (x2) Target And numerous Asian markets and health food stores.

Portland, Oregon. I personally shop at Fred Meyer (Kroger's) but there are also WF, Safeway, Albertsons, Thriftway, QFC, New Seasons and Winco near me.
