Yes in many ways but I agree w pp that there are some social "traps" he has trouble navigating. He is thoughtful once i point stuff out though so he isnt an asshole about it.
I was so anti-marriage in my teens and 20s, because I always felt that women got the short end of the stick in relationships. (Anyone that knew me during that time is absolutely stunned that I ended up getting married.)
H doesn't believe in traditional gender roles; we've gone back and forth quite a few times on who makes more, whose career is worth making sacrifices for, etc. I wouldn't have married anyone that didn't feel this way.
Well it came up when we were talking about the Nerdist podcast. I can take it or leave it generally because I don't like their interviewing style but I brought up that out of the last 50 guests they had, only 5 were female.
He was arguing that geek culture is predominantly male, so how do I expect them to equally represent females. I said that there are much higher proportions than 10% cool women to cool men in the industry.
Lets be clear though, our relationship is 100% equal and he treats all women as equals. He stumbles on some of the more 'academic' issues.
Edited for clarity
He needs to follow John Scalzi & Wil Wheaton on Twitter and read their blogs. They're my geek equality heroes.

No, he is not. He has a line (which I disagree with)... ie: he dislikes woman broadcasting football. It has been a source of argument for us, but, he's always backed me in our male dominated field (engineering).
Really people being a feminist is not just not being an asshole, lol. H views women and men as equal and all that crap. But he doesn't go out of his way to make things better for women, you know? And he wouldn't want to take half the one year parental leave like one of our friends did.

I wouldn't say full on feminist. He's not out rallying or anything. But he definitely supports women's rights, gets mad about the same things I do, is proud I earn more, etc.
